I apply this oil after yoga practice or exercise. I notice a tingling/slight stinging sensation, but use the product on back/legs/shoulders, so not a problem. It very strongly dries my skin, so it would probably be effective as an antiperspirant, but I don't use it that way. Only small problem, common to other reviews: the spray nozzle on the bottle quit working after a short time. Be prepared to transfer the oil to a different bottle/container!

First I like this oil, all natural and an alternative to pills, however the spray nozzle became completely clogged and I could not clear it so I have to pour the oil out to use it. maybe it was just my bad luck.

A friend told me about using magnesium oil as a deodorant. I was skeptical but wow, it really works for me. So convenient and economical. I don't like taking a lot of pills so this is an easy way to get some extra magnesium as well.

I love Magnesium Oil. Its an excellent way to add more magnesium to your body, something we probably all need. I mix it with some Aloe Vera liquid and/or gel and it helps to stop it being too stingy. I smooth it all over my legs and arms and it dries fairly quickly. I don't wash it off.
Why does it often leave flakes on my skin??

For some reason when I spray this on my skin it often leaves flakes of magnesium on the skin but not always. This can be very messy. The higher the number of times I use the same bottle the more flaky it gets. But, when I first open and use a new bottle it does not leave any flakes on my skin. Why does this all happen? And Is there a way to prevent this from happening other than not using it? I don't think it is as effective for my muscular health when it leaves flakes on my skin after spraying it than when it leaves no flakes. It would be nice if they had 2 ounce bottles instead of 8 ounce bottles since it often leaves flakes on my skin after using 2 ounces of a bottle.

I was leery of ordering this because many of the reviews that said it burned.I took a chance & ordered it anyway. I have been using this for a few days now and yes, it burns like crazy if you are not careful. I found that applying it to my stomach and arms works just fine with only a very slight tingling. I found it really burns where you have a open sore or on sensitive skin (face). I really like the way my skin feels after applying it and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

I use the transdermal magnesium because my stomach can't handle oral magnesium supplements. It works very well, although I do find it a bit irritating on the skin. This is not specific to this brand; any magnesium "oil" will sting a bit. I just make sure to rinse the area after it has dried. Overall, an effective, high-quality product.

I haven't worn commercially made deodorant in a very long time! There's so many ingredients in them that might have harmful effects. So I spray Pure Magnesium Oil on a powder puff each morning and apply to my underarms. It's easily absorbed and not greasy, and it is the most effective deodorant I have ever used!

The pump on my bottle did not work. I phoned Swanson and they kindly sent me another bottle. The pump on that one worked fine. Otherwise, the magnesium oil seems fine.

This product resulted in severe redness. I had to dilute it with water at a 10:1 ratio before the redness stopped.
