Q: Can you wash this in the dishwasher?

A: We recommended washing your LifeStraw Go Series bottle or tumbler by hand but if needed, the Go Series bottles can be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning, but only after the filters are removed and you should avoid the heated dry setting. It is recommended to remove the cover and mouthpiece from the main cap for bottles and wash them separately. It is recommended to remove the drinking straw from the lid for tumblers and wash them separately.

Q: Since the carbon filter ony lasts about 2 months, can it be replaced?

A: Hi, Yes, the Go Series bottles and tumbler all use replaceable carbon filters. You can find them on our website in a couple of ways: Visit the product page for the Tumbler, then scroll down just below the “Add to Cart” button. You’ll see a link that says “Add a Replacement Filter”—clicking that will take you directly to the replacement filters. Or, you can go straight to this link: LifeStraw Carbon Capsules – 2-Pack. A: The Go Series Membrane Microfilter lasts up to 4,000 L or 1,000 gallons. The carbon filter should be replaced every 2 months or about 26 gallons. You can find both filters on our website under Shop/ Replacement Filters, then choose compatible with Go Series on the left hand side column. It did take some getting used to using the filter as it made it more difficult to drink the water, but after two days of full use it’s better. The filter seems sturdy! Overall love to have this for travel

Filter works great and gives me peace of mind when I’m out, but I wish there was a way to remind me when the filter needs to be replaced. I personally like my bottles to have a handle for ease of carrying too so hoping for that in the next version.

The material is durable and insulates temperature very well. The filter is strong and filters out many different components, so you can drink from many different water sources. My understanding is that the filter lasts several years. I love the societal impact as well; for every purchase, a child in need receives safe water for a year! My only suggestion for improvement would be for a way to know when the filter needs to be replaced.

I personally would’ve preferred a lid that screws on to provide more peace of mind but I haven’t had any spills yet. It is a little hard to drink from the bottle once there’s less water inside but I generally just use that as my indicator it needs to be refilled. This size fit in my cup holders and kept my water cold for a good amount of time.
Makes for yummy water!

It is so amazing to be able to test out this product because it is not cheap. It was also great I was able to pick the color that I wanted and I really enjoyed the salmon orange, it's fun. A lot of my camper friends were so jealous to see I owned one as campers use it when they go camping you can use any type of water as far as I understand because it has a filter inside which is so cool. I take it to the gym with me it's a little heavy to carry just because of the filter that's inside However it is amazing it's durable it has a great filtration system that design is very chic and I love it so much and I recommend recommended if it fits your lifestyle
Not for everyday use, kinda hard to drink out of.

I ordered the cup with the straw, It was nice looking and arrive quickly. Unfortunately this is kind of difficult to drink out of, so I wont be using it for daily use, but will instead save it for emergencies or travel.

I find it a little bit difficult to drink from due to the filtration system, and I feel like I’m struggling to drink water. I do appreciate that the cup fits in the car cupholders. I also don’t love that the filter has to be replaced so often, making it not very affordable. However, I like that the water is filtered better than most and that the company gives back to less fortunate communities.
