Review Quotes
Linda and the Mysterious Footprints is an exciting book that takes the reader on an adventure across her town as she discovers footprints left all over. Using the scientific method, Linda determines the cause of the footprints and helps the reader learn and explore how they too can help reduce the footprints that are harming their town.
I love the journey this book takes the reader on through a day in the life of Linda and her pet Darwin. The book is bright and colorful while talking about a complex topic made simple by the visualization of the footprints. It encourages all children to be curious about their world, to not be afraid to ask questions and to get involved. As a parent, I love the interactive checklist at the end for making your own plan to reduce your footprints as well as the experiment page.
This is a powerful book to show children that science and caring about their world is fun and cool and no one is too young to help! I can't wait for the next adventure from Linda!

They work with family, friends, and members of the community to find out what needs to be done to reverse the appearance of the footprints. A timely, well-written story by Linda Pistun and beautifully illustrated by Candice Ossman. The book is geared for children 6-10 years old, but the story can be enjoyed by both younger and older children as well as adults. Activity ideas are included in the back of the book, so children can put what they've learned into action. One more thing, the author of this book is only ten years old! A great addition to any child's library.
