Felt a bit different on the back side. I found out I definitely like grommet type curtains better, this kept getting snagged on my pole. But overall did its job and is quite beautiful. They do not look really heavy but they do block out all the light: I got the extra long ones to cover my sliding glass doors and they work just fine. I really like the shade of blue on the curtains. I would recommend the curtains to anyone who is looking for blackout curtains.
