I opted to put it in the kitchen to replace an older clock I had. The second picture is to show the placement makes a difference in how big it looks. It runs on a battery and is pretty quiet.

You do need to have a AA battery available which thankfully I did. I was initially confused how to get the clock working/set after putting a battery in since the minute hand was loose but I just needed to press it in tighter, and then I was able to accurately set. I currently have this hanging in my office since I already had a nail in the wall to hang there, but may switch to a different room eventually once I get more nails. The clock is very quiet but makes a slight ticking sound, nothing too bothersome.

There are some nicks in the gold, and you can tell that it’s a lightweight clock. But who gets that close anyway? I’m not sure if the mechanism is a little slow, but I set the time and after a day it seems it’s behind at least a few minutes.

It ticks quietly, and seems to have kept accurate time over the past week. The minute hand was loose when it first arrived, but it’s held so far after gently pressing it to be tighter. I’m hoping it will hold up well over time.
