Q: What does "Battery: Optional, Not Included" mean? I understand the "not included". But what does "optional" mean? Do you need a battery or is mouse rechargeable?

This was just what I was looking for. I needed a Logitech trackball that used a unified receiver, so I could use this and a wireless keyboard on a computer without using more than one USB port. Logitech is pushing their "Logi Bolt" product line, which isn't compatible with their mainstream products. Ask me how I know... So this is an upgraded trackball to all the latest standards but uses the more common unified receiver. This works extremely well, no noise, doesn't lag or drag and feels solid in the hand... Oh, and it cost less at Target than anywhere else!!!
