This nightgown is a favorite among guests for its exceptional softness and comfort, making it ideal for postpartum use and nursing. Many appreciate its easy access for breastfeeding and the cozy feel, perfect for late-night feedings. While some guests mention sizing issues and the built-in bra's lack of support, the overall sentiment is that this gown is a must-have for new moms looking for both functionality and comfort during their postpartum journey.

I love this dress, material is sooo soft. Great lounge dress for postpartum, I just wish they made a smaller size xs is too big on the neck, I have to take it in so it’s not falling off my shoulders or sagging down the front.

No structure to hold in the boobs with the inbuilt bra. It either shows 75 percent cleavage or you pull it up entirely leaving with one layer. Who wears any dress this low? It stretches out too much and pills like a rug.

The best postpartum nightgown

There’s always that one piece of loungewear that gets you during postpartum and this nightgown is that piece for me. I wanted something easy to nurse in, adult diaper friendly and comfy for my postpartum journey with my second. This fit the bill and has been worn every night since I gave birth. Thankfully we do a lot laundry around here due to said baby so it is washed constantly and has held up so well. I just ordered a second nightgown because I love this so much and it truly brings me joy every night after I shower and get ready for all the night feedings. As far as fit… I’m about a 36-38 DDD and there’s room to spare in the shelf bra. I even used the extra room as a skin to skin carrier when my baby was littler. I’m usually a medium pre-pregnancy but due to weight gain (50lbs) I tend to go up to a large during pregnancy. The medium on this fits perfectly and will still fit even after I lose more weight.

The material of this nightgown is very comfy and bouncy. However, the nursing component of the gown is not convienient. Much easier to wear a button-up nightgown for feedings during the night. The built-in bra was not comfy for me.

This is a perfect post partum dress for in the hospital. We had a winter baby and I wanted something the nurses could access easily while also being warm. The dress is soft and comfortable while also being accessible for nursing.

Material is soft and I see how it would be great for maternity. However, the fabric clings to your belly & postpartum that is not what I want. It has a built in cami type bra liner which makes no sense for nursing as it’s an extra layer to lift up and I wear a nursing bra to protect against leaks anyway. I don’t need another step in the process. Didn’t work for my purposes unfortunately.

This is PERFECT for your hospital bag. Makes it easy to nurse in, easy for the nurses to still check what’s going on down there, and it’s sooo soft. I would definitely size down though, it runs big! I like things loose and I wish I would’ve gotten an Medium instead of my normal Large.

I am 5'7", weigh 240 lbs, and one month from my due date. Mind you, this is my 3rd child and trust me when I say it is difficult finding a lounge gown that can double for maternity and nursing. This time I wear plus size and my bust is a 40F, so that narrows my options. This gown is so soft, stretchy throughout (important for arms), and long enough (to my knees) to accommodate my big baby bump and bust. I ordered XXL and I could have ordered a XL, but I kind of like the loose feel of it which will be much appreciated after my c-section. I actually like the snaps as they will last longer than buttons and don't have to worry about buttons coming undone or popping off. I like the internal bra because when I do start nursing I can unsnap the bust and comfortably pull the outer unsnapped part under my boob and pull the inner bra above the my nipple. No need to snap everything up every time cause I can just pull the inner bra down to cover up. This dress is going to be perfect for skin to skin after the surgery because I can just put baby in my dress, since it is so soft and stretchy. If you want something more snug then size down or you may have to pick something else. This dress has exceeded my expectations by far.

I love the material! But here’s what’s up about the size though.. It’s almost too big and I bought a medium. I’m 5’4” and I’m 8 months pregnant (so my stomach is pretty huge) and weighing @180 right now. I wear in A cup so the top is pretty baggy but overall I think it’ll be great for the first couple weeks postpartum while recovering. Definitely size down! I would have guessed a L or XL for me, so I’m glad I went with a M.

Very soft nightgown with snap front. Though the sizing is a bit off. Go down a size. The medium was like an extra large after one wash.

Great After Modification
4 out of 5 stars
Asherah - 4 years ago
This gown is great now that I cut out the shelf bra. I'm a small chested woman (34 A) and it was both unnecessary and horribly uncomfortable! The band cut into my chest and was just the worst. Luckily, it was a quick 5 minute fix. It's a similar style/cut to the Kindered Bravely Betsy gown, but I actually prefer this material to the henley. Overall, good purchase.

I love this nightgown. The material is super soft. I’ve been wearing it during the third trimester of my pregnancy. I can tell it will be very easy to use while nursing once my baby comes. I like the length- not too short. I wish it came in more colors!

Received the black and immediately order the grey after trying it on! This is the perfect maternity & pp nursing gown! The size small is comfy, super soft, and flowy at 25 weeks and will fit until birth. The nursing top will be perfect once baby arrives. I love that the fit will cover up my postpartum body but is still cute for lounging and sleeping. I plan to bring this in both colors in my hospital bag. Please make more colors Target!

Personally I enjoy this during pregnancy and look forward to wearing afterwards. The material is soft and cozy and I would definitely wear with some tights or leggings to go out of the house.

Nightgown not dress
3 out of 5 stars
Mercy - 4 years ago
This is not a dress. It is a nightgown. The material is very thin. It fits like a tent. If it were a dress I would give it zero stars. It is not suitable for outside wear. If it is a nightgown I would give it five stars it is soft, warm and comfortable. Perfect for nursing at night or lounge wear. Should not be used outside the house.

I am obsessed with this nightgown. I ordered one in each color when it went on sale and have been extremely impressed! currently 37 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and wishing I had this during my previous pregnancies. it’s extremely soft and not too short. I read some reviews about pilling so I have been careful to wash and dry my nightgowns on delicate. hopefully I can remember to keep doing that once baby is here.
