When you place your baby to sleep on their back, their natural position is for their arms to go up. The Love To Dream Swaddle UP Organic features a patented design that allows you to swaddle your baby with their arms up in this more natural position. The medical reason behind baby's desire to have access to their hands is that when they wake up at night, they want to self-soothe, which is simply stroking their cheeks or sucking on their hands. If they are swaddled with their arms restricted, they cannot do this, which causes them to wake, get frustrated, and try to get out of traditional swaddles. The Swaddle UP is a stretchy blend of Organic Cotton and Elastane designed to be snug and cozy around their torso, contain baby's arms, and thereby calm the startle reflex, encouraging a long, restful night's sleep for Mom and baby. The Swaddle UP is safer than swaddling your baby with traditional blankets. With the Swaddle UP, there are no difficult wrapping techniques required and no risk of dangerous loose blankets in your baby's crib. The Swaddle UP's dual zippered design allows you to do diaper changes while keeping baby swaddled and has no pesky snaps or tricky wrapping, ensuring that your baby stays comfortably swaddled all night. In addition, the Swaddle UP has plenty of room for baby to move their legs and hips, and recently received recognition from the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) as being a 'Hip Healthy' product. The Love To Dream Swaddle UP is Stage 1 in Love To Dream's 3 Stage Sleep System. Since 2008, Love To Dream has been finding simple, yet genius solutions to everyday parenting and baby needs. The best news of all is that our products work. So everyone in the family will achieve a better night's sleep. Functionality, usefulness and innovation are key for Love To Dream.

This swaddle has received high praise from guests for its innovative design that allows babies to sleep comfortably with their arms up, promoting self-soothing. This item helped my daughter sleep through the night. Definitely helps with the startle reflex and they have their hands to suck on. We loved using this item for our baby girl!

this is the best swaddle wrap EVER. I hate the velcro ones! this is a double zipper (opens from bottom and top) which is so helpful for late night diaper changes. my baby went from sleeping for about an hour on his own to almost 3 hours with this!

Our baby loved this style and slept well in it. She loves to suck on her hands in it. the organic cotton one is softer than the regular one. we have both and loved both though

This is hands down the best swaddle i have used, and I've used ALOT! My baby loves that he can keep his hands up and it keeps him from waking himself up when he startles. The BEST!!

My son is not a fan of being swaddled the old fashioned way. This provides the perfect sleeping position for my baby. The soft fabric and cozy comfort makes for a good nights sleep.

Our second kid has slept in this from 2-9 weeks and so far so great. We've bought so many sleep sacks, swaddles, velcro, weighted, etc. so far this is definitely the best. Our baby self soothes by sucking on his hands, very glad Love to Dream offers organic materials considering how much he eats and stains the fabric. Wish the company offered more organic, oetex bla bla bla options, if it isn't available, one for winter would be a great option. Overall, my husband said this sleep sack is amazing, best thing we have ever purchased. He's never said that about anything.

We have two of these now because it has become an every night item. Our baby loves having some room to squirm his hands around, and he feels more comforted with them up by his head, where he naturally holds them while sleeping and where he usually them in utero. The fabric has a good stretch to it, so it fits snugly through the middle without being too restricting. He also has plenty of freedom of motion to kick his legs around. The zipper unzips from top or bottom, so I can change him without zipping him down, but I also find that even when the top is unzipped, his hands naturally stay in the pockets and it is still mostly “on” him.

Love these swaddles! My son always wiggles out of any wrap swaddles (even with Velcro). He would get upset and wake up multiple times a night. He loves having his arms up!

Best swaddle there on a market, kids love it as it gives them space to move their arms and legs to get rid of the gas which really helps when the babies are formula fed as they don't get colic. As every kid usually likes to suck on their hands this swaddle gives them that opportunity and kids fall asleep faster without any dummy

Also love the fact that it doesn't ride up to her neck, because she is little this is the second swaddle I found that works for her! Love the fact that they an organic option as well!

My kid likes hands up so this has been great. He is a big baby so we immediately used a medium even at 4 weeks.

We LOVED our SwaddleUp Lite for our little one, so when she outgrew it I knew I’d be buying the next size up. She seemed immediately soothed once zipped up, and I had the peace of mind that she was comforted, comfortable, and that she couldn’t scratch her face or wake herself up, etc.
We live in FL, which is why I chose the Lite version to begin with. However, I noticed she sleeps better when she’s warmer and we keep it pretty cool at night (we ended up using the Lite during the day for naps and a different swaddle at night). So when it came time to buy, I thought I’d grab this version - a bit warmer and organic (we only buy organic clothing for her).
So far she doesn’t like it as much. The fabric is not nearly as soft as the Lite version, it’s a bit scratchy. Also, the Medium size is longer overall than her Small size, but the elbow-to-fist measurement seems to be the same, which means her arms, which have gotten longer as well, don’t seem comfortable - compounded by the fact that it’s also not as stretchy as the Lite version. I wonder if the large size has a longer arm measurement and if that was the case, I’d skip the Medium altogether and go for the Large.
We’re going to keep trying with her in this version but if I could go back in time I’d probably stick with the Lite version (super soft, stretchy) and perhaps buy the Large size.
9wks 10lbs 11oz and 23 inches when I felt the Small size was too small.

This worked so much better than the traditional swaddle for us. Our daughter did not like having her arms down in other swaddles. We had two of the small size and bought this as she grew but still liked to be swaddled.

We are IN LOVE with this swaddle! Our little one has hated the traditional swaddle since she was about 4 weeks old and this allows her arms to be up near her face which comforts her. One of the best things we’ve bought for our little one and love the organic fabric. Wish there were more color options for organic.

This unfortunately didn't work for our 2-month old, who was used to being swaddled with his arms down. The arms up position startled him awake, then he just wanted to stay awake to suck on his fist and roll around. Seems like a fine product, but doesn't work for our baby.

We understand that all babies are created differently and have different preferences when it comes to their sleep habits. When a baby is used to a certain form of swaddling and then it is changed, whether it be from reaching a new milestone or starting to grow out of their current swaddle, we recommend starting the transition at nap time. By getting them comfortable at naps with a new sleep habit, this will then ease the transition to nighttime sleep habits. We sincerely hope that you find a method that works best for you and your baby! <3
