Her past experiences have been enough to wean her off of the possibilities of it. So, the last thing she expects is to fall for the man who has the world at his feet.

Making compromises of the heart, they both vow to try to be what the other needs. For Amree, she finds it easy to make the necessary changes to show Lemere she isn't like the girls he's used to.
