The Ludwig NeuSonic 3-piece Downbeat shell pack with 20" bass drum was designed for the working professional. This shell pack has serious sonic versatility, and features upgraded finishes and lightweight portability. NeuSonic captures the legendary Ludwig vibe coupled with a sound that will complement a wide range of performance settings. At the foundation is Ludwig’s proprietary 7-ply shell consisting of a 4-ply maple exterior with a 3-ply cherry interior. The cherry ply adds a warmth and playability to the familiar attack of maple while also adding extra "breath" to the drum’s overall tone. Handcrafted at Ludwig's factory in Monroe, NC, USA, this shell is their thinnest, measuring a mere 5.5 mm thick for superior resonance and sustain. Their lightweight design makes them great for the gigging drummer.
