Description
There is no piece of drum hardware more famous than the Ludwig Speed King bass drum pedal. This pedal set the standard for drum pedals in the early 1900s, and it has remained in the popular imagination ever since. Among its most famous devotees was John Bonham, who tightened up his Speed King to pound out those lightning-fast foot patterns he's known for. To this day, vintage models of this Ludwig classic are still being traded by picky drummers all over the world.
But there's no need to search out those used pedals anymore—after years of popular demand, Ludwig has brought the Speed King back with a bang. The new model has all the features that made the old pedal so beloved, but remastered with technology picked up over the past century of R&D. These advanced features include improved cam bearings, a more reliable and smoother direct-drive linkage and heel plate bearings. All in a beautiful polished chrome finish.
