For severe rust stains, if possible, remove water from bowl first. Let soak for 15 minutes. Do not close lid. Follow cleaning directions above. Repeat if necessary. Q: It was hard to twist open the cap to the position so that the cleaner would squirt out properly. The cleaner leaked through the bottom of the cap when it's open or closed. Any improvement on the cap?

With other hand, squeeze sides of cap where indicated while turning counterclockwise. Do not remove cap. Avoid squeezing bottle when opening. To reseal, twist cap clockwise until tightly closed. I am a first time home owner and I had choose this brand because I have heard good things. It is strong and fast acting. This is the only brand I will be buying for my household. The before and after results were crazy. From a toliet that’s never been cleaned before this made it pure white after letting it set. I recommend this. Also used this to clean the shower as well.

I absolutely LOVE this toilet bowl cleaner! First of all, that price is just amazing! Second, it gets the toughest stains out and I swear I can almost see my toilet shining after I use it. Finally, it has such a great smell that doesn't overwhelm. It kind of smells like a subtle mint to me. I buy this repeatedly because if it's not broken, don't fix it!

This is the only toilet cleaner that has gotten rid of the hard water buildup in my toilet. I tried cleaners for calcium and lime, pumice stones, nothing worked. I just let this soak for 10-15 minutes then clean with a brush.

I wish they would bring back the Lime and Rust version, the black color bottle. This is second best to that for removing hard calcificated stains. But it's better than most all other brands out there for efficacy and value IMO.
