First time trying this brand! I wasn't expecting much upon seeing this nude shade but I was pleasantly surprised how easy both the application and color payoff was. I've tried many nude shades and most would wash me out, but this "Alone Time" was the perfect shade I've tried. It's not too light or too dark, blends perfectly to my natural color. This lip stick has a great hydrating feel to it. The Alone Time color wasn't my favorite for my pale winter skin but will look fantastic in the summer. It stayed on for what I felt was a decent amount of time, as long as you aren't eating or drinking. It had a bit more of a lip gloss look without being sticky, and was definitely more sheer. It has a very pleasant smell, almost like cocoa butter. Overall I did really like it although it wouldn't be what I would normally go for in a lipstick. I am amazed with this lipstick. This glides on super smooth and leaves my lips so nice and shiny. I love how this helps to moisturize and does not dry them out. The color is so pretty, it is perfect for my skin tone and has became one of my favorites. I wear it every time I go out and I have received many compliments. This formula perfect in every way. This lipstick is a cross between a lip gloss, a lip butter and a lipstick. You can wear it alone to just have a nice light glossy lip of color. Or you can put it ontop of your fav lipstick to give it that extra punch of shine and color. On top of that it doesn't give your lips that sticky feeling that some other lip products give you. Plus you don't have to worry about looking like you have gum stuck to your lips every time you part lips. This my new fav that I carry with me everywhere I go. It's nice to see someone got it right. Let me start off by saying I love MAC, and I generally love the lipsticks and glosses. This one was a bit of a disappointment to me.I did not find this to be long wear at all. It is a pretty mauve brown that glides on nicely and has a nice shine to it.This feels nice on the lips and it does not feel sticky. Your lips will feel hydrated and I appreciate the ingredients of various oils,shea butter and hyaluronic acid. The scent of MAC Lipsticks and glosses have always been a favorite of mine. The 90's grunge and concealer lips are back and this shade will fit in just fine with current trends. I do like the shade of this lipstick, but I will probably be using a liner underneath to extend the wear or to customize the look a bit. If you like a lipstick that is slightly buildable with sheen and hydration then you will probably love this. It will be a popular shade. P.S.- Thank you for bringing back the nudes and cool spice.
