This is my forst time trying any MAC product. I had seen the new lipsticks everywhere pn social media so I decided to try a few shades. I really wanted a deep red color (not a bright red). I tried Avant Garde (too plum), Chili (too yellow). I tried Marakesh and it was exactly what I had been searching for- a rich, deep dark red. Marakesh is stunning and makes my teeth appear whiter. I feel confident when I wear it. I also picked up a more neutral tone, Cafe Mocha. I loveeee wearing Cafe Mocha for no makeup makeup days. As a first timer with MAC, I am happy with my purchases. The shades are so unique. The lipstick is easy to apply, comfortable to wear, and long lasting. I am looking forward to trying more shades in the future!

I'm sad that they discontinued many of their most iconic and popular shades but I love the reformulated matte lipsticks. I remember that some shades were really dry. I still have a few pre-formulation that I bought at the same time and while Soar, Red Rock and Velvet Teddy are still smooth, applying Ruby Woo is like putting on a crayon. She is dry but I can't bring myself to throw her out. Cool Teddy is my new favorite color and perfect for my light neutral olive complexion. Velvet Teddy has been looking orange ever since I came out of lockdown about 2 shades paler. I use a lip mask every night to keep my lips moisturized and have not had any issues with dryness while wearing this lipstick. It feels confortable and lasts for hours. If you're also tired of lip oils and want to return to real color on the lips, give the new MACximal lipsticks a try. Please just release more cool toned shades.

Came without the top to the lipstick. When I opened the little box it came in it for lipstick all over my hands and the actual lipstick itself was smooshed and damaged at the tip. I did try the color, and it's pretty, but I'm out of at least half of the lipstick itself because of it getting squished

So I got acting natural because its supposed to be a light nude concealer lip, and it looks like a completely different shade than the swatches shown. It literaly looks dark brown on me. So dissapointed

IT's coverage doesn't last 2 hours let alone the 8 hours as advertised. It also dries my lips chapped. I would return if I had my receipt. Don't recommend

Cool Teddy is beautiful! I have light skin with cool undertones and it's the perfect mauve shade. The original velvet teddy was too warm for me; this new cool toned iteration is perfect! It's creamy on the lips and wears off gracefully. Highly recommend!

I ended up returning this because the shade looked horrible on me. When I tried it though I didn't find it particularly great or bad. It was a standard lipstick.
