Q: is the bean bag filled with beans or foam?

A: I'd say based on the weight of it, 48lbs, that it is filled with beans. Doesn't say where it's imported from so it would be hard to say what kind of bean.

Q: I bought a charcoal one several months ago. It was filled with lump foam not small balls. Can't remember if the insert has a zipper to remove some of the filling. It is way too over stuffed.

Waited to write a review hoping for it to be broken up more and more comfortable to sit on but it’s super heavy, lumpy and hard. will be replacing foam for something more comfortable

The cover is not soft at all. I’ve washed it three times and dried with fabric softener, it’s getting a bit better, but all in all, it’s NOT a soft cover. Pretty good price though, even if just for the stuffing…

I read some reviews that mentioned how big this was and they weren't kidding! We bought this to have a piece of furniture to cuddle with our new puppy (no dogs on our regular furniture). He loves it, as do we, but we've only had it for about 3 weeks and there's already a seam coming apart on our zipper. I can probably sew it by hand, but it's on the bottom of the beanbag, so it'll be difficult to reach.

Way larger then I thought it would be. Comes very smashed and takes lots of work and time to get all set up. I got the blue bean bag and the blue dye got all over my hands, not happy the blue rubs off.

It’s huge! And so so fluffy! I had my fiancé do the initial go at it and I fluffed out what I could where it was more bunched up, and it just keeps getting fuller. Love it so much! It’s heavy enough I don’t feel like it’ll scoot out from under me when I flop down.

So getting it was super happy but upon further inspection we found missing zipper pieces and even bugs, yes you heard me right. There were bug casings from what looks like cockroach eggs stuck to the outer side of the bean bag. They looked like they were packed into the bag because it is crushed in. Talked to target and they can do a replacement but I'm so weary of the item being in my house it's terrible. What if there are more bugs but alive? And what if the replacement is worse and I have to go through a huge process again. Item weighed about 70lbs and was hard as can be to move around smelled a little weird too. I'm gonna get the replacement and hope for the best but will add an edit to this about the next one I receive

The stuffing comes in jamed and feels like cheap material. The interior cloth cover looks vulnerable. I doubt it would last long before the stuffing breaks out. My fingers hurt when putting the stuffing bag into the exterior cover, which made me concerned about the surface material of the cover. Overall: Appearance: doesn't look like what's on the picture. User experience: not comfortable when sitting on because the stuffing is all clogged. Value: definetely not worth the money compared to similar products.

Bag weighed 24 pounds heavier than advertised

Based on my own experience and other reviews, there seems to be a lack of QA behind these bags. My bag weighed in at a whopping 68 pounds (24 more pounds than advertised). I noticed it was extremely heavy but went ahead and put it together anyway; it was very firm when I sat on it. Finally I weighed it and noticed the problem. Luckily I did get a full refund and, because it would be impossible to return, Target let me keep the bag. It's better that I got more foam than not enough. So I cut open the bag and removed 24 pounds of foam. The bag now seems to be as intended. It struck me as odd that a few pieces of the foam had hard pieces of plastic attached. A family memeber of mine bought another bean bag chair called the "Chill Sack", and I would recommend that over this one.
