Birds are all around us, and Maisy is ready to show you how many different ones there are. Children will love hearing that there are bird families: ones that fly, ones that swim, jungle birds, and many other types. We have a good time imitating the bird sounds while reading this book. It is also fun looking at the birds outside, and trying to figure out what type of bird families they belong to. Birds from different parts of the world are included along with the importance of having water, food, and houses for them. Besides the great illustrations, this board book contains one of Maisy’s trademarks, the back page is a triple fold out, full of more birds and information. Find out for yourself that giggles and fun will be had in this great five-star book. This will be enjoyed by children aged one through four-years-old. Thank you, Candlewick Books, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.
