A: Hello Ducky! Our Plush Elephant Rocker has grey long-pile polyester fabrics for the main body, and other soft boa polyester for the inner ears, teeth and feet; these fabrics are sourced from China, where the elephant is produced. Regarding chemicals used in maintaining the fabrics – there are no sprayed-on fabric protective chemicals or fire retardants, or anything else that would be considered detrimental to the health of children. You can take comfort in knowing that our 83-page product safety report shows this toy passes extensive state, federal and global requirements, such as the CPSIA Section 106 & ASTM F963-17 Toy Safety, Clause 4.3.5 that deals with chemically detecting soluble elements in surface coatings and substrate materials. Target would not allow this item to be available without passing these rigorous tests. We appreciate your interest and inquiry.
