The SEMP3350DK poplar piccolo snare drum from Mapex cuts and projects without unwanted overtones and can provide a great compliment to a main snare when used as an auxiliary.This MPX series piccolo snare drum may be small and shallow, but the sound is vast and deep. The 100% poplar shell slightly flattens the overtones while the Mapex SONIClear bearing edges provide an extremely wide tuning range on this piccolo snare drum. Tuned low, the backbeat is fat and the ghost notes are wet, but when tuned high and tight, the crack is phenomenal and the ghost notes stay clean. Anything in between is fair game, focusing style into whatever can imagine.
