Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope - Nintendo Switch (Digital)

Got this for my daughters. They really like it. The colors and graphics are great. The only thing is, there’s a lot of reading. Not all of it is read to the player. So for my kiddo who is learning to read, it requires my presence.

This game had so much to be discovered and to do! Lots of battles and additional DLC to come. The battles are entertaining with the different villains and how large and unique each battle area is. The game was fully exciting from the start to the end. I was really impressed and love the ability to wander around in such large worlds with hidden and surprising extras to be discovered. I think this game was well created, hilarious with the Rabbids, and one game that has me waiting to see what other extras DLCs will be coming to the game.

We LOVED the first game, probably our most loved game of all time. We loved being able to take it at our own speed. We completely fell in love with the multi-player options, both the collaboration and battles (the latter is marriage therapy). Most of what we loved is now gone in this new edition. This game is confusing. You wander around aimlessly at times before finally getting down to the battle business. The battles are nice and challenging. The player/weapon/spark options are hard to navigate, with the most confusing menu systems. The graphics are great. The soundtrack perfect. The voices annoying. The lack of a multi-player collab and battle modes is just an epic, epic failure. I want to scream that I love this game and can't stop playing, but it's a only-when-bored game now. I think some of it can be rescued, but the plans for updates pretty much gives me no hope.
