This rug is gorgeous. Great pattern for my coastal family room. Nice thick rug - looks like quality. Didn’t notice any smell when I unwrapped it. Slight curling at one end but already flattening out after a few hours with heavy books piled on edges.

I love the aesthetic and the quality of the rug. It feels soft and sturdy underfoot. The reason for the 2-star review is the intense chemical smell/off-gassing that was required. I’ve had the rug for weeks and I can still smell a chemical smell that gives me a headache if I spend a long time in that room. I’m hoping it goes away eventually but I had purchased this wool rug for non-toxic qualities so this was a disappointment.
