The concept was cool, execution was horrible, unfinished models. Lackluster story. Loot box’s. Skins. It just hurts to see marvel fail like this

I have no idea how to play this game. I started story mode, it is not an easily playable game. Iron man is the worst character to play with and you MUST play with him. I wish I never spent money on this crappy game. DO NOT BUY THIS.

There is LOTS of swearing for a video game. I bought this for my kids for Christmas and regretted it. Game play is just so so. Don’t recommend for kids.

I've had this game since Day 1. September 1st 2020. I preorderd this game and I got my PS5 on Dec 2020. this has been literally my favorite game of all times. and yes I've played 1000s of games thru out my gaming years since the 80s. I unfortunately, haven't had time to play any other game just because there is tons to do in this game. never ends. which is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend this game for those players who loves Marvels Avenger and for those who have no problem in grinding the same missions over and over. now on the downside it have bugs and certain issues which they have improve but still needs much more improvements.

glad I bought in Christmas because it is on sales. I finished the campaign, every hero has their unique fighting style (iron man you can fly and shoot rockets, hulk has incredible strength mainly doing melee attack) Overall it is a good game, it is worth it for $15. I am an adult and i enjoyed playing it so I think teen/kids would love that too (it is Marvel)

First level is awesome but then it repeats the same thing, go here fight waves of bad guys then go here and is the same. There isn’t much variety in the levels like Spider-Man. Even after you finish the story you do the same, go here fight waves of bad guys. I would not have gotten it if I had known what I know now.

I purchased this on a whim when it was pretty cheap and I wasn't expecting too much. This game actually starts out with some promise. It begins with a linear story about a new superhero. It treads familiar ground, but is interesting and carried by the voice acting. The combat is simple - a little button mashy, but it feels meaty. The characters play differently and seem to have their own strengths and weaknesses (Hulk feels bad, though). The game looks great, though, doesn't run particularly well on the PS4 pro. Unfortunately, the "games as a service" game design slowly starts to creep in. First, it's just materials and items that feel out of place in the single player campaign. Weird, but ignorable. Then you get to the war table. The war table is how they combine (and ruin) the fairly interesting and enjoyable single player content with the multiplayer components. Missions get more and more generic and dull, cutscenes and story beats become scarcer and scarcer. The micro-transactions get more and more in your face. It's a real shame, because there was potential. It's still not an awful game. If you're OK with a solid 7/10 type game, can deal with the micro-transactions and GaaS stuff, then you'll get some enjoyment here. You probably won't play it for 100 hours, but you'll play it for a bit.

Excellent campaign, thoughtful story, very fun

Early reviews of this game were bad, but I'm glad I picked it up anyway. It turns out that the single player campaign is incredibly fun! If you liked the Tomb Raider games from Crystal Dynamics, you'll really enjoy this one, too. (But if you're looking for Arkham dressed up in Marvel's clothes, this isn't going to be for you.) Like other Crystal games, this one is narratively driven. It's a story that you play through, not a game with a loose story draped around it. But even for seasoned gamers, you'll still find enough depth to have a great time. (Pro tip: up the difficulty to something above "normal" if you want more tactical, strategic gameplay.) There are some day 1 glitches early in the game that you should know about, though. I found skipping during the first cutscene as data loaded in the background, but everything was fine after that. Just be aware and grit through it, and you should be good. (There's probably a patch coming for this soon.) I can't comment on the MMO, but the single player campaign is meaty enough to justify the price of admission.
