I purchased this as a gift for a 9-year-old, paired with markers and art pencils. I like the look and feel of the book. It's about a half inch thick and 11"x 8.25." The pages are crisp and white with black print. I'm guessing the pages would NOT be easy to tear out. Some pages have large areas to fill in, and some direct you to draw something in a specific area. Some of the prompts: "Electro is using his electricity to power a thingamajig. What is it?";"Dress up these Chitauri invaders. Make 'em look snazzy";"Draw Asgard's beautiful skyline." Careful with ordering online since paperback book may get damaged during shipment, like mine did.
