I love this movie, and yes the music is different and doesn't have Bob Seger music...The director's cut version is how it was originally intended to be, music and all ( they originally had Springsteen on the soundtrack before the theatrical release in 1985 but due to licensing issues, had to change it to Bob Seger at last minute) the real Rocky Dennis was a huge Bruce Springsteen fan and according to interviews with his mother Rusty, he didn't even know who Bob Seger was and didn't listen to his music...
