MasterChef 12" Santoku Knife High Carbon Stainless Steel Blade Performance Collection: Polypropylene Handle, Hand Wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is on heavy duty knife. I have never had a santoku knife. It is great for chopping vegetables. I never knew I needed it until I tried it. I do wash it by hand to keep it in top condition.

I didn't have a knife like this in my collection and after using to cook a stir fry one night, I really liked it. It has decent balance and I prefer the blade length as well. Handle feels wonderful in the hand and I didn't feel as fatigued as I have with other knives. I'm now considering a few of the series other specialty knives.

I would expect to pay a little more for this good quality. It is comfortable to use and quickly cuts through all veggies, fruits, and meats we've used it on. Now I'm looking into purchasing other products from this brand.

It’s great for dicing onions, slicing tomatoes, chopping peppers, etc, though you probably don’t want to use it for delicate tasks like cutting fish for sushi. It hasn’t become dull in the month I’ve been using it. Hopefully. It’ll stay sharp for a while!

I decided to start chopping some veggies to make a soup and this knife glides extremely well and smooth through everything that I was cooking and it felt very comfortable. I feel like this is also going to stay a staple in my kitchen tools for a very long time because of how it seems to be made.

It took a little bit to get used to it’s different than most of the knives we have so it didn’t feel quite right in my hand. it does seem well-made and like we could have it sharpened and when it dulls.

It has a good weight and comes with a sharp blade for the price. While it is not as sharp as my ceramic knives, it is plenty sharp for basic kitchen work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took it out of the box, washed it thoroughly and got to work prepping dinner. Sharp out of the box , but not razor sharp. However sharp enough to make easy work of this prep. I’ve been using it for a few days for veggies to steak and so far I’m really liking it. I think it’s going to be much sharper once I sharpen with my rolling stone. The knife cleans easy and so far there have been no signs of rust at all. Great ergonomic handle that feels safe in the hands when using, even if my hands are wet or slightly greasy.

It's super sharp and cut my beef ribs like butter, but be careful with it because I accidentally cut a finger. It has a great handle on it and the blade is wide and smooth. Balance is great also

It feels substantial in the hand and has a nice weight and ergonomic handle. The santoku style lends it to work for many different tasks. We've used it to easily trim the fat off of a large rack of ribs, along with slicing through cucumbers- it does both easily and effectively. The cost makes it especially affordable.
