Q&A(5)

Q: Had a C section where my abdominal muscles were cut. I cannot afford a tummy tuck. Can I wear your belly bandit under my jeans or shorts to flatten my lower tummy, or is there a product you could recommend?

submitted by Judee - 4 years ago
  • A: We recommend our C-Section & Postpartum Recovery Briefs.

Q: Can I use this for more than one pregnancy. I have one from my first pregnancy that was 14 months ago.

submitted by Omo - 7 years ago
  • A: Hi and thank you for your inquiry. If you would like the exact same outcome as your first experience with the product, we do not recommend reusing your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap. Anytime a band has been worn for an extended amount of time, it will not have the same effectiveness on your body, as it will be less compressive as it was the first time around. Also, if you washed it several times, it may have lost some elasticity.

Q: Does this help with Diastasis Recti?

submitted by Addy - 7 years ago
  • A: Short answer: Yes. Long answer: For centuries, women have wrapped their postpartum bellies for a number of reasons, including strengthening the core muscles weakened during pregnancy, and bringing abdominal muscles back to their pre-pregnancy positions. Fast forward to the age of clinical trials, and we now have scientific research showing that abdominal binders like the Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap can both help decrease the inter-recti distance and strengthen abdominal muscle efficiency. When paired with proper exercise, results are even more significant. Since there are different levels of diastasis recti, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

Q: is the size chart based off belly sizing while pregnant? or post?

submitted by cmatz - 7 years ago
  • A: We recommend that you measure any time after your 8th month for the most accurate sizing. Here are some tips to properly measure your belly: In the 8th month or After Delivery: Measure your belly at its widest point, usually at the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size. Just Prior to Delivery: Measure your belly at its widest point, usually at the belly button. Subtract 3-5 inches from the measurement. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
