Mattel - Mattel - Disney Princess Raya Storybook Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old is a huge Raya and the Last Dragon fan and was excited to get this storybook playset to act out his own adventures. It comes with Raya, Sisu human and dragon form, Namaari ,and 3 Ongis. It also comes with a cardboard boat which so far has held up but not sure its longevity. The storage book opens up to create a backdrop that can be land or flipped for water. Again made of cardboard so not sure longevity ,but so far so good. It would be nice to have included Noi, especially since the Ongis are included, as well as Tong and Boun to complete the set. Except for Raya the figures are not moveable or posable but are well made figures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Raya and the Last Dragon set is very cute. I liked that it came with human and dragon Sisu. That was a nice touch. The concept of the packaging as something to be used when playing was a very cute idea, but I don't think it's sturdy enough to hold up over time. The boat was a little challenging to assemble and just won't hold up especially since the characters can't stand on their own. It's nice that it came with a sword, but none of the characters can hold it. My kids liked the little monkeys it came with but missed TukTuk

We took this with us to a restaurant with a longer wait and played with the book and characters and it felt like we were watching the movie. If your child likes role playing this product would be great to have to play with for any time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The figurines are very fun. With the variety in the pack the kids can imagine lots of different scenes. They were kind of hard on the boat as it falls apart and isn't the most sturdy. It would be nice if the boat was water proof too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids loved this toy! Immediately bursted it open. They loved the sisu dragon and human form! They had so much fun with these toys. Even mixing and matching the removable clothes from the characters. The only downside they had was the paperboat. Which they wished was a real plastic boat. Other than that they were happy with the toys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old daughter is a big raya fan. She loves this toy. The only critique is that she feels that it’s missing the “baby” from the movie. Either way she enjoys this toy. The small size makes it easy to bring in the car or to restaurants to play on the table with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 and 6 year old absolutely loved this Raya set! The size of the dolls are the perfect size! The box is great for putting the figures back for easy clean-up. They did need help putting the cardboard boat together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very detailed figures, but not balanced well. They are hard to stand up. They only one that "could" pose is Raya, but its not great either. They are able to be played with tho, just limited. The scene is a cardboard setting and is reversible. The buildable boat is punch-out cardboard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super cute set. My daughter who is 3 really likes little figurines such as the ones that come with this set. Overall it’s great, but just wish it maybe had some dividers so that she can pretend there are rooms. But it is still enjoyable.

My daughter has been replaying scenes from the movie everyday. The package has doubled as a stage for her characters. This set is a lot of fun and has really sparked my daughters imagination!

The scene is okay, although my kids didn’t use it much. It comes with a build it yourself boat which is pretty cool. I appreciate toys that have an engaging element like that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Given to my 9 year old daughter who is a big Raya and the last dragon fan. She was very excited to have it and uses it in her own stories. Unfortunately the box used for backdrop got torn and unuseable when she opened it (I wasnt standing next to her to make sure it was done well, taped sections were torn open). Also the boat didn't work out for us. She couldnt build it, so I gave it a shot. I spent forever staring at the directions and got soooo close to getting every step but in the end it was time to give up, I'll just superglue the top. Words or better pictures would have been more helpful. Overall, she enjoys the figurines quite a bit and she uses them to play out stories.

They didn’t realize at first how the box came apart but once they did they were excited that it could be made into a stage. The only down side is that the legs of some of the characters can break easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great set with lots of pieces. It could have been improved by coating some of the paper pieces in something that made them more durable. You really have to keep an eye on your kids so that they don’t break the paper boat.

I showed her how to use the storybook box , yet she was already in her own world with the characters. Although I like the characters with movable arms and legs , these felt more durable. I also felt some of the pieces were small enough to be a choking hazard if smaller youger children were to get ahold of them. Even when packaging is marked With recommended Age of recipients. Small pieces will tend to get misplaced or dropped . Yet this can happen with many different items yet little cute toys get the attention of kids and we just have to keep in mind the dangers of any product

It’s very durable so it can be used to keep the toys in it as well. The characters are very well made and are a great size for little hands. We absolutely loved the details. So many play pieces come with the set so imaginative play is endless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was shocked by how large all of the characters in these sets are! They are a full set so you don’t have to try to find them all. A huge hit with my 7 year old who loves Raya! They would also work well in water for the tub or pool!

The storybook and doll are both high-quality and well-made, and the set comes with additional accessories that will help bring the story to life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute set. I love that it comes with multiple characters. Most sets come with only two. They are small figures- perfect for 3-4 year old to hold and older kids can easily play with these. Raya is the only character who bends at the waist and her limbs move, probably so she can ride on the dragon. They are well made, durable plastic and vibrant colors. I did not give it five stars because the characters cannot stand up on their own, at least not that well and the boat is actually a paper boat that has to be put together and not an actual plastic boat. I still like it as it reminded me of my paper doll making days but the instructions are a little hard to follow. You have to fold the tabs really small, push them through the hole and then open them fully on the other side- it was just a bit hard to see what the picture was showing at first but after I figured it out, it was an easy build. The box is also two sceneries that can be used for play- one is island like with water and the other looks ocean like. My girls really liked the set but the boat will not hold up long against my 5 and 7 year old.
