Maui Jim Hookipa Rimless Sunglasses

I love my Ho'okipa Sunglasses. I hadn't realized just how heavy the pair was that I broke until I started wearing my new frameless pair. I hike nearly every day, and they're so light that I sometimes forget that I'm wearing them! :) When I wore the pair I broke, I had to hold my hand up to the side of my face to block the sun. With this pair, no problem. MJ has excelled in combining form with function...and they've included style as well! The glasses are designed to fit the shape of the face, and the lenses curve just the right amount to shade my eyes from the side view. Also....my eyes are super sensitive to glare, and these glasses have just the right amount of UV protection. Kudos MJ! This is another example of your excellent line of products that you deserve to be proud of!! Linda

The Ho'Okipa is light weight and sturdy, the design appears to be frameless but the construction makes it sturdier than typical frameless glasses. The color of the lense is not too dark so it doesn't change the wearer's view very much which is what I was looking for.

They have a good snug fit and block the suns rays very well. I am very happy with this pair of sunglasses.

I bought my first pair of Maui Jim's 10+ years ago. (Sandy Beach - pictured) I wore them non-stop all that time. They held up wonderfully, no scratches, like new. The new ones caught my eye. They don't disappoint. I wish for the price though that they would come with a case large enough to accommodate them like the old clam shell.

Exactly what I was looking for. Very good field of view due to the rimless frames, stay on my head even during fast-paced activities like Tennis, and ultralight weight for comfort all day. The most pleasant surprise is they have great coverage similar to wrap-style shades due to the curvature of the lens and how close they fit to the face. Meaning I can use them open-water kayaking this summer too.

I have high cheek bones, so they sat on them. Not good. They were returned

Great sunglasses! Fit is perfect, lightweight, and never slip down your nose. This is the 5th pair I have bought over 15 years. Really, really like them!

I love these sunglasses. The lens is crisp and colors remain true. The lightweight frames don’t ever feel tight but never slide.

I thought these lenses would have more of a rose or pink hue that was visible when wearing and look a little “girly”. In retrospect, I wish I would have just ordered the brown lenses. This is my third pair of this style and the only ones that I’ve been a little disappointed in. Was an expensive mistake. My rating reflects the color of the lens, not the glasses overall, which I love.
