returned them too big for my face and I did not like the bar on the top of the frame

The XL is an improvement with this style. I know the 1st gen are very popular, but until this XL came along. this style never really stuck with me. I bought the Banyans instead. I really like the higher lens as it accentuates the frame and the lens shape. I now have two pairs with different lenses and frames, and they are outstanding. Comfortable, great coverage, and they look even better. Very forward thinking, Maui Jim!

I am diabetic and have issues dealing with bright lights. The Maui Jim sunglasses are the best type I have found for protection.

I love my new Ho’okipa X-large. I had the original size Ho’okipa and have been great daily wearers and golf. Have a bit of a larger head so figured bigger better. Def give me a little more protection. Have always been a big believer and fan of Maui Jim. Would like to the X-large in another color sometime. Very clear view.

Love these glasses! The X-large lenses have more eye coverage and are so light! I have three pair of these and bought a pair for my daughter!

For folks with larger heads and ears farther from their faces like myself, the XL version of the Ho'okipa sunglasses provides for that often elusive great fit. This is due to the width and slight wrap as well as the length of the arms which don't fall short of one's ears. Beyond fit, of course among the greatest benefits are the quality lenses and resulting clarity. The nearly rimless design makes cleaning the lenses a breeze, and they wear well in the pool, ocean, or on land. They are lightweight and comfortable, and the rubber bridge padding is effective at keeping the glasses stable and in place while also being very comfortable. My wife had to remind me that I was wearing them inside still on multiple occasions, so that is a great indication of how comfortable I found them to be -- that I didn't even notice I was wearing them. Recommended.
