Gorgeous Stools, Toxic Smell

I read several reviews on other sites before purchasing these stools and many of them mentioned the smell. Having purchased furniture in the past that sometimes off-gasses, I figured we could air them out for a week or so and they would be fine. In retrospect, that has not been the case. They smell absolutely TOXIC. It has been over a week using charcoal bags, an air purifier, Febreeze and other odor treatments and they STILL smell horrible. They are absolutely gorgeous, look very high end and are comfortable. We will probably end up keeping them because we assembled them and disposed of the packaging already, but they'll have to live outside and have daily Febreeze treatments for awhile before we can use them. TLDR: yes, the smell is THAT BAD; no, I'm not just super-sensitive to smells and it won't "just go away after a day or so out of the box." Purchase at your own risk.
