Maybelline Super Stay Matte 24HR Hybrid Pressed Powder Foundation - 0.21 oz

I’ve only used very few powder foundations in my life but this was….not a fun experience. I tried to give it my best shot- I wore this on its own on top of moisturized, prepped skin and it came out extremely patchy and cakey after just one layer. I tried using a brush and on a different occasion a beauty blender. Didn’t make a difference in the outcome. Then I tried using it as more of a light setting powder and that was equally as terrible. The product only wants to stick to certain areas and even when it does stick, looks supppperrrr cakey and patchy. Not at all what the description says. Luckily it was on clearance so I paid $5. Can’t imagine paying full price for this. I would be extremely let down. I love my maybelline fit me powders. Not every product can be a winner though.

I have extremely sensitive skin and this is one of the only powder foundations I can use, great coverage, very soft, love it!!

I haven't seen it transfer

I enquired about a replacement product for dream mattee mousse and Maybelline recommended this. It is in no way a replacement. It doesn’t apply, blend or last in the same way. The colours don’t match my skin as well either. Maybelline used to be a great brand with cult beauty products but it seems to discontinue/change the formulas of their best sellers.

Feels great and looks great on my skin! Very light weight but still has wonderful coverage.

The new formula is horrible. The textured is weird it just dusts everything doesn’t blend well does not last or set & the color is off . I loved this powder & I had to stop using this brand. SMH it’s just terrible now bring the original formula back. I just wasted money with this.

When it came in the mail it came damged and the box was damaged as well

ive been using this for almost 2 years and the formula has definitely changed because the shade i use matched well with my skin tone when i started using it but now it gives me a yellow undertone as i have pale skin and it gets even more yellow as it oxidises. i use shade 5 and its meant to have cool undertones but its kinda the opposite of that. i cant use the only shade lighter than it because its paler, but for warm toned skin therefore it would be even more yellow and it would look worse. other than that the coverage is really good and i continue to use it because it covers most of my spots and is affordable but its just the shade i have a problem with so i have to kinda blend my makeup down my neck so it evens out my skintone so the difference between my neck colour and face doesnt have such a big difference. the only problem is that the shade range is not diverse at all but the shades would fit better on other people that arent as pale, but otherwise the product is totally worth it

Soft and covered face perfectly

This foundation is genuinely a dream come true. I didn’t realise how sad it made me that my face would completely oil after 3 hours of makeup. I have very oily skin and struggled my whole life with makeup staying on my face. I would literally have to carry around practically my full makeup bag to re-touch throughout the day. This foundation has been a game changer!! I never have to top up on anything- blush, foundation- my contour and highlights stay just as prominent at 8pm as it did when first applied at 7am. 12 hours for me is the point where it looks worn out but even then there’s 4 hours left in it as the oil and prominence of the makeup isn’t entirely bad at that point. Downside- I can’t really explain it but sometimes the makeup can be scratched out, like if you use a blotting tissue, the oil will lift the foundation as it’s mixed together and leave a makeup less patch on your face.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this foundation. I have super oily skin and this seemed to not make me have that oily shine after a full day of work. It goes on pretty evenly and the shade is true to my skin tone. Works great with my other makeup when I build up my concealer, bronzer and blush.

I love the coverage of this setting powder but it breaks way too easily. Usually I get to use it a little before it cracks once I hit the pan, but as soon as I broke the seal on my newest one it immediately shattered

First time trying this powder and I have to say, it may be my new favorite. It stays all day and does not leave my skin feeling dry.

I got overcharged. They doubled the price. I bought it because I had a coupon. Ironic.

Powder foundation looks chalky on my nose . Does. not stay even. My nose pores show and I have to keep touching up. I even had to remove makeup from nose before touch ups.

This is an ok buildable coverage. My biggest issue is how little is in the compact and the fact that it runs out in less than a month with average use. I was trying out new products to possibly replace my Laura Gellar but this is not long lasting enough

This was my very powder foundation I ever purchased and used when I started my makeup journey. But after purchasing other powder foundations, I started to see how this formula just ain’t it and isn’t what I thought it was. After using up my first one, I started using other powder formulas like the Fenty, One/Size, and even the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder. I decided to repurchase this one in my fall/winter shade and I discovered that the formula just really isn’t that great at all. Even just comparing it to the Matte + Poreless powder, this formula is very chalky, has a lot of powder kick up in the pan, and when applied to the face it comes up as obviously powdery even when going for light coverage with a fluffy brush. The Fit me formula has a much more creamier texture and coats a fluffy brush smoothly without any kick up or fall out. And even though the Fit Me is supposed to be a mattifying formula, it doesn’t come off as dry or cakey like the Super Stay. Also even though the shade I purchased in the Suoer Stay was the same as the Fit Me, the Super Stay came off very yellow and lifeless. While this was a good starter formula, it’s not one I will ever repurchase now that I have other formulas I can count on.
