The install was easy. The small seat does not easily lower/raise. The purpose of my purchase was for potty training and teaching littles independence. The seat pops off when they try to lower it from a raised position. The smaller seat needs to be pulled up then lowered in order for it not to poop off the entire seat. I think it should be an easy up/down motion like a regular seat. Not sure if the one I received is a defective seat…

This was easy to install, feels sturdy, and has been easy for my son to use. We don’t have large bathrooms, so keeping separate kid seats/toilets around is not ideal. We’re very happy with this option.

Only a one year warranty because the product is faulty and has vulnerable points at the hinges where the little seat will break off rendering the point of the product useless.

As a mom of 3, ages 5 and under, two so far potty trained before the age of 2, I highly recommend this seat! Wish I had it 3 yrs sooner. We’ve had our fair share of removable seat toppers: hard, with/without handles, super plush and bulky (Prince Lionheart). The toppers always disappoint in some way eventually, besides being something to fiddle with and fall off of toilet bowl hooks… plus the added nooks & crannies to clean and being an eye sore or clashing with decor. This 2-in-1 style, Litte2Big toilet seat was very easy for my husband to install. Its easy to clean and feels as sturdy as a normal plastic seat to us adults while sitting; at least the round/standard shape. Oblong style might feel differently. I haven’t tried standing or jumping on it while closed and probably won’t. I do prefer the feel of wood seats but went with this option because wood seats can warp or peel over time. I was expecting a magnet to keep the 2 seats together but I might have misread or mixed up the information somewhere. Instead ours has a notch on either side that “locks” in the training seat. My newly 3 yr old girl can easily engage and disengage it by herself. Took only 2-3 tries for her to get the hang of it and I showed her where to look at the hinge to see if it’s in the notches or not. Thankfully my son never had an issue with needing pee guards and could stand in front of the toilet to pee by 2 1/2 or 3 years old. That might be a deal breaker for some but then you wouldn’t get it to lay flat when up either. Maybe an attachable pee guard could be used temporarily in those cases. My 8 month old can fit this seat sitting towards the front without him falling in so it could possibly work for those doing Elimination Communication or early potty training. The trainer opening on this round/standard style measures 6.75in long, 5in wide across the center… 3.5in wide about an inch from the front and 5in wide about an inch from the back. I have my 3 yo scoot an inch or so forward when its time to wipe her rear for adequate room. My slim 5 yo thinks the trainer seat feels too small, so he has decided it was more comfortable to use the adult seat and just lean forward a bit to balance with his feet on the step stool. I offered to give him the previous topper we had but he insisted on using the adult seat now and has been doing so successfully for a few weeks. We love it and have recommended it to friends and family already.

So much cleaner & nicer looking than the removable ones. My boys can easily put their seat down and use it comfortably. I recommend this for all moms!

Whoever designed this clearly doesn't have kids- you have to gently lift up the child seat from the locking mechanism to be able to fold it down for use- I dont about you-but when my kid has to pee- it's about .01 seconds from exiting their body- they aren't going to finesse the mechanism to be able to lift the child seat up from it's clasp to be able to bring it down to use- in true child fashion- they attempt to pull it down- it doesnt go- so using their full body force- snap it off and Im left with a busted toilet seat DONT BUY THIS-if your child can manage the mechanism- they can use a regular toilet seat

I like that the child seat can be “locked” so it not always in your way if an adult needs it. Hate how delicate it feels. Like a hotel seat.

I live this toilet seat for my twins. We have it in our bathroom downstairs (that’s the one they use the most since we spend most of our day there). We used to have the toilet seat that you just set on top of the regular seat and sometimes it was a hassle for them. Sometimes it would get misplaced by them and when they had to go to the bathroom really bad, they couldn’t find it. So with this one, they can not take it off and it’s always there for them to use. I love the fact that you have to pull it up and then bring it down, that way it doesn’t get slammed all the time. I also love that the regular size seat is soft close. This little toilet seat is the PERFECT size for their little butts. (They’re almost 6 years old).

I was happy to find this type of seat offered at Target; however, I’m very unhappy with the quality. 1) While wiping clean with a paperwork before the first use, the towel scratched the main seat. So, the plastic is entirely too soft to scratch that easily. Now, 8 weeks after install, it’s very scratched and just looks cheap and is rather embarrassing. Was hoping there’d be longevity…I’m sure in a few months, I’ll upgrade to a pricier version. Unfortunately, this will add to a landfill much too early. 2) As others mentioned, the toddler learning seat is great, but it’s true, a toddler just wants to pull their seat down easily. This one you need to lift towards the ceiling and then down. Problematic.

I purchased this wanting to make it easier for my 3 year old to go potty on his own. This did not help and I returned it. It did not fit will when installed and my son couldn't use the little seat independently.

Works well, you have to lift up to put the potty seat down, just worried my child might snap it trying to force it down.

The regular toilet seat and lid are self close. The toddler seat is not self closing and you have to lift it up to lower it. This is not great for a toddler trying to put their seat down

The Mechanism To Lower The Toddler Seat Is Horrible. My Daughter Can Never Get The Seat Closed. But A Magnet Connection One, Do Not Buy This.

I love that you can remove the child seat when it is no longer needed.

Love the easy of installation, how secure it is, and how clutter free it keeps the bathroom. Doesn’t shift at all when my toddler is climbing up there to do his business and the baby seat locks up when not in use. Adult seat is same as our old seat so we didn’t lose anything there. Only draw backs: for a toddler boy it obviously doesn’t have a splash guard but I knew this when I made the purchase. Overall will be purchasing another for our second bathroom.

Better than the one we had, though I'm sad because our old one had a magnet to grab the little seat when you close the seat. this one you have to lift when done, but not a big deal. The little seat comes down fast, in our house that's great cause it's always a rush when they go, but I can see it being a problem for others that fingers may get caught. the bigger seat does close slowly.
