Q: How many milligrams of sodium are in 1 TBSP.? I cook for someone on a low sodium diet. Thank You.

A: I don't have the milligrams in front of me, but it is IS pretty salty. However, McCormick's does make a "reduced sodium" version of this seasoning. Its harder to find, but I do buy it whenever I find it. It still tastes great, but just less sodium. If I can find the actual milligrams, I'll post it here.

Honestly the worst steak seasoning I have ever used! Typically I love McCormick products, but this one is horrible. I just destroyed my Delmonico steak with this. All you can taste is SALT! For christ sake, cut the salt and add some flavor!

I just opened a new bottle of Montreal steak seasoning, and something is wrong. The smell is off putting, and the flavor is more like a pickle seasoning. Did they change the recipe or did I get a mislabeled product?

I hate everything hot , spicy , and anything that had spicy or hot in it. But I smelled Spicy Montreal seasoning I tried it I can't have food without it now. I use 2 bottles a week.10 stars.

This Christmas, I wanted to make a Savory Appetizer and reached for the Montreal Steak Seasoning (about + 2 tsp) to put on 2 cups of Pecans tossed with real butter. Baked at 300 for 25 minutes and cooled.... oooh so good and easy!

I have heard great things about this seasoning and my husband bought it but sesame is not on the allergen warning list and I need to confirm that there is no SESAME in the product. Can someone confirm? Otherwise I cannot use it. :( Thanks

Our Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning does not contain sesame. In April 2021, legislation to add sesame as the 9th major US allergen was passed into law. The food industry has until January 1, 2023 to update labels. Most McCormick products already list sesame on the label when it is present as an ingredient.
