Unfortunately, this rug smells like a big pile of chemicals. We gave it time, we opened windows, we used baking soda, and it still stinks. We all get sore throats when we go into the rug room. It's a really pretty rug for the price, and we am sad to return it, but the VCO chemical smell is unbearable. The "off-gassing" is terrible. If you are able to leave it outside in the sun for a few weeks, it would probably be okay. We will be getting a wool rug instead.

Ordered the dark brown one but it has a grey distressed type look about it depending on how you brush/smooth the fabric. It has a grey blotchy look. My son says it looks like ashes were sprinkled onto it. Perhaps I just ended up with a defective rug. Based on this, I would not recommend.

Awesome rug! The design is actually beveled, which I couldn’t tell from the photos, but I love it! I’ve had it for 6 months with a puppy, and it has held up perfectly.
