Q: can this gel be used on your eyelids after surgery
A: You can use Mederma on a scar on any external part of your body once a wound has closed or your sutures have been removed. If a scab has formed, wait until the scab falls off and apply as directed on package. You may not use Mederma internally or on any mucosal area such as eyes, in the mouth or nose unless directed by directed by a healthcare professional. Add as applies: • Under arms: Mederma may be used on a scar in the under- arm area. We would suggest using Mederma Advanced Scar Gel or Mederma PM. • Lips: Mederma Advanced Gel can be used for scars on the lips. However, it should not be ingested. Confining Mederma to the scar only, gently massage a small amount into the scar until the product disappears. Do not apply Mederma to open wounds on or around the mouth such as cold sores. Mederma should only be applied once the wound is completely healed, any stitches are removed, and no scabbing is present. • Genitals: You can use Mederma on a scar on your genitals. However, Mederma is not for internal use
