Q: I just received my bench, and there's an elastic strap inside the storage compartment (on the bottom left side). Does this have any function?

I love the looks of this storage bench by our front door. A nice place to take off boots or shoes and and storage for a couple of blankets. My only complaint is that there isn’t any padding on the top, making it very uncomfortable to sit on.

Love it! It’s perfect. Wonderful quality. I was looking for a pink bench to compliments my mostly muted colors of my house. This isn’t too pink- more deep pink almost mauve. Very rich color. I have a large golden retriever who loves sitting in it and looking out the window. Very study and easy to wipe off any paw prints.
