This is the only Melissa and Doug toy we’ve been disappointed in. Almost every piece broke on this. The compact/makeup covers broke off, the shelf inside the carrier case broke off. Definitely not up to their usual standard on this one! I’d pass on this set!

The lip gloss tube has paint residue inside and outside and it is clumped together. Wasn’t supposed to be “real” makeup and not that it is “real” makeup but more of a real mess and a safety hazard.

Makeup kit was cute but the grown mans face clearly plastered all over it is seriously upsetting. Let the kids be kids. I don’t need target/ Melissa and Doug teaching my 3yo that men wear makeup.

Really surprised with this cheaply made Melissa & Doug makeup kit. The cover on one of the items keeps coming off when opened, and the inside hinges supporting the tray come right out of the grooves. The lock tab is hard to get to as its right in between the handle.

The tray inside the makeup box constantly comes unlatched and doesn’t stay in place the way it should. It has to be relatched every time the box is opened and closed. Cute concept but the make box is low quality.

I was very disappointed with this Melissa & Doug toy. Missing a top to one of the lipsticks. Tops keep falling off the several of the makeup compacts. The container doesn’t close properly & I have had to fix it numerous times. It is super cute but I would not recommend buying this due to it being cheaply made.

The makeup toy is super cute BUT we failed to notice that it has a male’s face on the makeup box and foundation bottle. That is something that goes against our beliefs and the things we want to teach our little children.

If I could give it no stars I would. Cheaply made. The blush cap already fell off, the pieces that are supposed to hold up the makeup kit, snapped in half. My three year old is seriously disappointed.
