Melissa & Doug Wooden Child's Lift-Top Desk and Chair - Gray

We ordered two of these desks and both desk came with obvious cracks in multiple places. Disappointing assembly was easy though.

we bought 2 of these desks for my toddlers for christmas. first one was broke out of the box and couldn’t even be put together. second one came with the paint chipped and still didn’t go together easily. not even bothering to get the broke one replaced, it’s not worth the gamble.

Easy to assemble. Had a few small dings which is always annoying. But I was able to face them toward the back. Also it isn't very easy to let down but at least tiny fingers won't get smashed. This is going to be perfect for homeschooling.

Very poor quality. We ordered two, one was damaged upon delivery and the paint was chipped. The second began chipping paint within 2 weeks of using.

I was very excited to buy this desk for my little ones (2 and 4). I bought two identical desks about 8 months ago. One works fine, no issue. For the other one, however, the screws holding the metal arm to the top have popped out. I am unable to rescrew them since the top is particle board. I spoke to Target and since it is beyond their return policy they asked i go to the company. I called Melissa and Doug and they claim since it is normal wear and tear they will not cover the cost. The desk is literally 8 months old! and that too for children- how is this normal wear and tear? i would think with a company like M&D they would have quality products that withstand a child's "normal wear and tear" - particularly if the desk is less than a year old! absolutely livid given this desk is not cheap and now there is no fix! will think twice before buying from M&D again :-(

So easy to put together! Took me maybe an 45min for both desks. The main part of the desk is already put together. My kids love their desks! I added decals with their names on the back of each chair and dinosaur & unicorn decals to each desk. My 3 yr old is using it to play with his dinosaurs and build legos. I homeschool my 5yr old and she’s loving her big girl desk with her books, pencils and workbooks. I definitely recommend and would buy again!

Ordered two desks for my 3 year old and 5 year old and they’re perfect! They loved it. I got it with a 20% discount they were offering so the price was perfect, I think!

We gifted this desk to our granddaughter for Christmas. She LOVES it. It is well made, easy to assemble and stores her markers/crayons/papers under the lift top with plenty of room to spare. We looked at many desks before deciding on this one. She can grow with it and use it throughout early elementary school. So pleased with this decision. Look no further!

Beautiful desk! Well built, strong, smooth, beautiful! I'm so glad I got this for virtual K! Gorgeous!!

We love this! Very easy to put together (15 minutes at most) and it is the perfect size for our 5 year old. The legs are a little wobbly on our hardwood floors, but nothing a little pad on the bottom won’t fix!

Item itself was perfect but it came with a broken flip top because metal hinge was already stripped from its screws. Now item is out of stock and my child has virtual summer school and her old desk was already discarded.

Just the right size and the perfect color for my 4 y/o grandson.
