Nice looking, nice size, made well

Very easy to assemble, however, the pilot drill holes for the hinge system were not lined up correctly. This causes the lid to not open and close smoothly and be at an odd angle.

Cheap junk, took it back. I had the same problem a previous person had with the poorly pre drilled holes and low quality. The hinge cracked when I manually screwed it in (did not use power drill as instructed). Paint was also poorly done as seems were missing paint and some edges. Low quality for Melissa and Doug. Also it had a low end bottom which is weird too. Every child is going to climb in a toy chest and I don’t think it would have withstood that

A great value for the money. I needed something to put grandkid’s toys in and this works great! Good quality and went together well.

It came damaged and wood splits easily when installing screws. The craftsmanship is awful.

East to put together, but can crack easy, cute and trendy. Seemed a bit bigger online for the price

I usually Like Mellissa snd Doug products but was disappointed in the quality of the chest. It almost appeared that the chest was sent back with faults, repaired and resold. There were scratches on the top that were repainted (can tell the color is slightly off), the hinges aren’t lines up correctly and one side has a bigger gap between the sides when closed causing it to not close all the way/correctly, there was a chip of paint off on the front, and one of the sides appear to have been filed down at the top and repainted as it doesn’t match the other side. Target couldn’t replace the chest or pieces. Sent a message to the company but never heard back. The chest seems like it would hold up well and looks nice, except for the faults on mine.
