A: Hi Romo, thanks for reaching out about the Memorex 16GB Flash Drive USB 2.0 - Blue (32020001621). The Memorex 16GB Flash Drive does not have the Secure password protection feature. You can Secure "Password Protect" Flash Drive Using BitLocker Encryption 1. Insert the USB flash drive into the Windows PC. 2. Now, go to "This PC" in Windows Explorer and right-click on the USB drive. 3. Here, select "Turn on BitLocker." 4. In the upcoming window, select "Use a password to unlock the drive" and type a secure password twice. I've purchased a few of these 16GB capacity and some other larger capacity removable drives, all memorex, and I can't remember ever having any kind of problem with any of them. They are reliable for every type of use, in every type of device I've tried them in. I use them as temporary backup storage until I can move data to a more permanent place. A few times I've left data on them for many months and during heavy usage I've never lost a file or experienced any data corruption with one of these. I've also used them to listen to MP3 audio or watch MP4 movies on A/V players that have USB ports. Again, never a glitch or problem. All around excellent quality.

Purchased 2 of these for doing bios updates, windows emergency drive, etc. Both show up as 32 GB in their properties. Very odd. They seem to work fine but if you really need 16 GB for some reason you might get 32.

The one I purchased wouldn’t save anything to it. It’s almost like it was corrupted. Tried on a Mac and a desktop, and reformatted multiple times with the same results. Files either wouldn’t save or my computer would say it’s been ejected randomly, multiple times. Bought a 32 gb of the same brand and it works fine so not sure why this one doesn’t.

I bought this to put movies for hr.babies on. It never worked right out of box! I plugged into computer and wanted to format. No problem, I pressed to format. It keeps giving loop to format. Arrgh!please dont wasted your time. I will never stray from sandisk brand again. Total wasted of time&,money!
