Love the design, but is not made for rain. I live in Washington State, it rained today and this jacket got soaked through. The material does not repel standard rain but, light rain will do fine for this jacket.

Awesome Adaptive Rain Coat

Best raincoat for anyone in a wheelchair or really anyone who has to sit in the rain. Zippers at the sides make the jacket easy to get on and allow the front and back to lay correctly instead of bunching up. The hood has elastic so it won't blow off the wind. The Velcro cuffs keep your sleeves out of the way when pushing. The pockets are functional and keep your phone from sitting in a puddle on your lap. And best of all the fold out lap cover prevents your pants and cushion from getting soaked. No brainer purchase for any wheelchair user. Would be great for sitting at kids sporting events or the bus stop too

As a wheelchair user in the PNW, I’m in love with this raincoat. The roll out lap cover is brilliant, as are the little thoughtful things like a split back and an elasticized hood that stays out of my eyes. At 5’7” and 140 with most my height in my torso, I got the small, despite it being challenging to put on without unzipping the sides and front, because the medium was baggy enough to risk getting caught in my wheels. The only feature I wish it had was the option for thumb loops; the arms tend to ride up a little as I roll despite the extra Velcro.

This jacket has a great lap cover that folds out of a pocket inside the jacket. It is made for someone who uses a wheelchair but is also great for sporting events, canoeing, or any activity where you may be sitting and caught in the rain!

This adaptive rainjacket is a great everyday jacket for wheelchair users but it also has an internal pocket with a lap panel that can be folded out in the rain to protect your lap. The fabric was a bit crunchy when it arrived but I think if I wash it then it will improve.
