For the thicker or husky guys, you might have to size down. Because the overall and unfortunate assumption is that the elastic in the waistband helps, I’ve had to size down and still cannot get a good fit. Biggest issue is the gap on either side at the top of the pocket. It creates so much extra space

Nice pants. My son who is tall has had a hard time finding pants with a 36L for work. These were very reasonable priced compared to the few other stores I looked into that carried that size. I got him the athletic fit which I felt were similar to skinny fit which is fine because is tall and thin but I probably would try the slim fit next time. The only problem I have is the material holds a lot of lint on them so make sure you have lint brush. Hopefully after a few washes the lint won’t be that bad.
