In addition to these features, there is a polishable toe so that you can keep these boots looking like they are in tiptop shape.A great deal of the paratrooper boot's strength attributed to its Goodyear welt construction. Eventually, all public service boots begin to wear down; with this construction, these boots can be repaired with no trouble and they revert back to their original hardiness.The contoured EVA footbed provides cushioning that will pacify your achy feet, and will make standing a much more comfortable experience.You will have more stability as a result of the stabilizer, because it is non-metallic you will not have to remove your footwear or be delayed around scanners or sensitive equipment. Bought these for work as an infantryman, the toe caps of both boots Shatered ON THE FIRST DAY WEARING THEM. These are cosplay boots they are not meant to be worn outside. Save your money boys, this one ain't it, it's a shame.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how to accurately review these boots. Followed the suggested guide and got advice from others who ordered. Went with my shoe size and they’re about 2 sizes too big. If the sizing is this inaccurate quality instantly in question.

i bought a pair and wore them home. when i unzipped them to take them off, the zipper didn't go down far enough. i had to unlace them. defeating the purpose of the zipper. very disapointed

I had some bad inversion sprains jumping in and out of the truck I drive. I got these jump boots over a year ago and the extra support solved the issue. Boots look great and take a beating in a trucking/Warehouse environment. I see a lot of negative comments on the side zipper.I rarely use the zip feature and have no problem taking my time to get them on . It's not a issue for me. The extra support and no injuries are worth it. Good quality at a good price.

Bought a pair thought thought hey rocky is a good brand and these boots should be great....they lasted maybe 2 months before the zipper busted.....after reading reviews about the replacement boots ppl recieved that had zipper issues I just marked it up as a loss and decided to got with a different brand boot.....for the price you should get a boot that actually lasts

Just got them, laced them up and put them on. Instant comfort ! I had a pair of these boots made by Corcoran, which lasted me for 15 years. These boots by Rocky appear to be identical. I hope for the same longevity with these, but initial impression is very favorable ! Boy, did I miss these boots !!

Bought these two years ago with my uniform allowance (city police) after my 5.11 atacs wore out after only a year and these rockies are still going strong. They're very durable, absolutely 0 issues with seam or stitch separation. They've got a break in period but after that, they're comfortable enough for all day wear. They're adequately water proof up to the tongue and have aggressive enough tread for inclines on snow, sand and mud. Only cons I've noticed is 1) in winter conditions, you're feet will get cold if you're not wearing thick socks, especially when I was directing traffic for 30 min+ or walking through tall snow. 2) on really long walks you will get hot spots/ rub your feet raw on the ball of your foot and your heel (our foot patrols were usually around 4 miles and discomfort would start around 2) that being said I fully intend to buy another pair with this year's uniform allowance. I've been very impressed with their durability and wear resistance. They polish well on the toe and heel as well if that is of any importance to you.

I highly recommend these boots if you want something durable. The boots took a bit longer than most to break in but are still very comfortable; they last forever. Currently going on year 5 with these boots and wear for a full time police agency. The boots have yet to rip, or wear on the tread. The toe and heal is easily polished and the side zippers make them easy to take on and off.

Im a Deputy Sheriff and bought these boots to Use as an Academy Instructor and in patrol. The boots were amazing. They fit well, looked good even unpolished and were mirrors when i did polish them. The worst part was shortly after I bought them the two buttons would not remain closed and side zipper would unzip about half way. Id love if they make a pair without the side zip.

I bought this around month ago and after one month of almost constant usage here is what I can say about the boot. The boot is quite nice for its price, although many people will complain about the zipper, so far it seems that they have replaced it with a stronger zipper. It’s quite comfortable and easy to break in but the leather is meh especially near the zipper. That area is where the leather degrades the most and will need repair soon. The area is most exposed to the weather and since the leather there is not the greatest, that is where it will fray the most and need to be replaced.

I bought these 2 months ago I and I only bought them because my 1st pair of rocky side zip jump boots lasted for almost 15 years At my part time job as a firefighter. Since getting these I have lost all faith in the rocky brand because these were the worst boot I've ever had to break in and I can't hardly get my feet in them just using the side zipper. They were so painful to wear it 1st I almost couldn't bear it however now they are just very stiff and super hard to take off and on. The 1st pair of rocky side zip jump boots I bought were so comfortable although they did take some breaking in they weren't anything compared to this and I think that lies mostly in the fact that this company has gotten cheap with their manufacturing processes and cared less about quality and more about profit. Also I normally wear 10.5 these are 9.5 that actually fit well once I get them on. 8If I could do it over again I would buy Danner or Thorougood.

In 2002 I was working as a sheriff deputy in Venango County Pa. I was issued my very first pair of Rocky ParaTroopers. Immediately fell in love. Every 2 years since then I order a new pair. Well I have obviously put your boots through some serious trials. Mud, snow, water and human liquids. Never once a problem. Clean them up and show them good as new. Well last night they were put to the ultimate test. First know I take pride in my appearance and that means you can always see yourself in the polished tips of my boots. Last night, while approaching a suspected dui suspect, the drive took off on me. Literally, spun the tires of his f150 on my foot. While it damaged the polished tip beyond my ability to shine it, and the boot is now in evidence, you should know that the leather held together as did the stitching. Your boot literally saved the skin from being peeled off my foot. Thank you. As soon as I am financially able to Order my new pair I will be doing so and putting them to the test. Keep up the good work.

I've had my pair going about a year now. I'm flat footed. Which means I destroy boots and shoes often cause I also walk often. These boots have held up better than any boots I've owned this long. They're comfortable and tough and I'm super impressed. Definitely worth the price.

I've loved the Rocky jump boot until now. Older models were made with higher quality parts. Bought a brand new pair for law enforcement honor guard. The zippers blew out and septated 30 minutes into wearing them for the first time. Older models used bigger stronger zippers. This new zipper is absolute garbage. The model of boot itself has never been comfortable, but it always preformed up until now. Definitely won't buy again, which is disappointing.

I just bought my third pair of Rockys with a side zipper. The first two were great, but this pair is seriously flawed. The zipper is not the same as the others and they are near impossible to zip up, and down. I won’t be buying another pair and will convey my experience with these boots to all my police friends, as I have been in law enforcement for over 30 years. Sorry Rocky, but you don’t make the grade anymore.

i have had a pair of the 2090 boots for at least 15 years. and still going strong . i have only had one problem with them i wore the tread off while i worked full time on a ambluance and but was over the cousre of a few years. i have worn these boots for 20+ hours in all kinds of weather and no complaints at all. Mine have a steel shank and set off the metal detecors at my current job. there is a good chance i might have to try a set of these newer one to see how they are and save my older ones for special events

I purchased two sets of this boot in September of 2017. One pair is the normal edition and the second pair was the insulated/waterproof edition. I have found both to be phenomenal and of very high quality. The insulated pair runs a little tighter due to the added layers. In the past two years I've put hundreds of miles into these things, and they still look sharp and feel great. I have pretty flat feet, and these boots are perfect for those who simular. For those with medium to high arches I would suggest getting soles with the boot.
