The Rocky 9" BearClaw boots are great for hunting, but you may want to work in them, too. Regardless of where you wear them, the #FQ0009237 boots are durable, rugged and comfortable. These  Rocky boots are made with full-grain leather and tough nylon. They have genuine Goodyear® welt construction and a storm welt for durability, shape-retention and a solid platform for hours of wear. A breathable GORE-TEX® fabric membrane keeps moisture out and keeps your feet dry. Rocky added 200 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation to the hunting boots to help keep your feet warm even on the coldest days.The lace-up system is a lace-to-toe pattern with eyelets, D-rings and hooks for maximum adjustment.When you're walking, your feet are comfortable because of Rocky's exclusive polyurethane cushioned Air-Port™ footbed which also is perforated for air circulation.     Bought 2 pair in the past 6 months both pair the eyes broke the shoe strings. Going thru a pair of boots strings every other day after wearing them for only 3 months

    The Bear Claw is another quality boot that you expect from Rocky. Nice, all full grain leather with an aggressive tread. Perhaps overly aggressive. Appears to be a long lasting boot that will require little maintenance.

    I bought these for an Aoudad hunt and they stretched out very much even after i broke them in. Nothing but painful blisters rest of hunt. They are heavy duty but the leather was very scared up after the battle with all the cactus. These should be work boots not hunting boots.

    So far this boot has been super. Fit is awesome, great support and traction. I live in southeastern Idaho and hunt in all types of terrain and conditions, the only drawback I have found is hunting coyotes in cold weather ( 0 degrees ) the soles get really hard.

The upper seems ok but the sole is the worst i have ever seen, it feels like it might be ok when it is warm but when the temperature drops below 40F it turns hard like steel and sounds like you are walking on hollow pipes with less traction

    Put these on today out of package and have serious doubts about these ever working. The upper lace hooks are very poor quality and backside of 4 of them dig right into ankle bone. Even with thick padded boot socks and moleskin on back of eyelets. 10W.

    I’ve used these boots for a few seasons now. They’re very durable, warm, and comfortable. The only negative I have about these boots is that the eyelets eat your shoe laces. I’ve probably blown 8 laces by now. Tried to figure it out but it does it to both of laces on each boot.

    I bought these boots 3 months ago. Overall comfort is great. I’m a land surveyor so I am constantly in rough terrain/wet areas. Never get wet feet, and the grip on these are unmatched. However, the eyelets absolutely shred through laces. The original laces snapped within 2 months of having them and since then, in just the past month I’ve gone through 8-10 pairs of laces. I see other complaints about this so I know I’m not alone. For it being such a great boot besides for that, I’d hope Rocky gets this issue fixed. Because without that issue, they are perfect.

    I purchased 3 pairs so I can rotate (to air out between use). 13 months after purchase the rubber soles fell off (glued not stitched as appeared in photo). The warranty is for up to 12 months. Had I worn one pair at a time it would have failed within the warranty period. They were comfortable and a great shoe in all other respects. Had this not been the case I would have bought them again.
