Very durable and comfortable

I’ve been wearing different boots for various purposes for over 20 years. I bought these Georgia boots about 10 years ago to replace a worn out pair of Danners for my commercial roofing job. I wore them full time as a roofer for about 5 years, and after I switched careers, I’ve worn them as my outdoor/work boots for the past 5years. They remain extremely comfortable and have proven durable in all weather. I most recently wore them on a strike line in western Oregon where I was walking roughly 8 miles a day for 3 weeks in rain and 40 degree temperatures. They held up and kept my feet warm and dry through the whole thing! At the very end, I finally had to reglue the sole at the heel on the right foot, but aside from that and a couple pairs of shoelaces, they’ve required no repairs. Needless to say, highly recommend!

Wow—what a journey these boots have been on! From commercial roofing to outdoor work and even long days on the strike line, it’s great to hear how well they’ve held up over the years. We’re glad they’ve kept your feet warm, dry, and comfortable through it all. Thanks for sharing your experience and for trusting Georgia Boot for over a decade—we appreciate your support!

Favorite boots

I’ve had these for a several years and they are my favorite boot for around the house and woods. I’ve got danners and redwings and thorogoods and I’ve had other boots all for work but these are my favorite to lace up. If they were steel toe/EH it’s what I’d be wearing at work. They are comfortable, good tread for slick mud, the lace hooks are easy to catch one handed, and I can wear them bucking wood all day and be happy to put them back on the next day. 9EE fits perfect. Replaced the insoles for my feet besides that they are perfect I just throw some sno seal on once a year.

Honestly, did not like wearing this boot for first 2 days, and then, 'bang', it just gave in and molded to my foot. Absolutely, consider it to be one of my best boots ever now.

I bought these boots over two years ago and they’re still going strong. The leather is starting to crack were the laces in the toebox meet, which is probably going to be the end of them within six months, but overall I’m happy. They look pretty nice once broken in, and all the stitching has held up. I think they’re decently comfortable. The waterproofing was gone within six months, but most waterproof boots are waterproof after six months anyway. I just might buy another pair.

Sore on craftsmanship and my feet

2 out of 5 stars

I have worn these for 2 days now. There is too much material at the top 3 lace hooks to be able to lace them up properly, the foot bed is attached off center of the uppers and they turn my ankles in. When walking on the rock at work, I can feel the rock through the soles. Even with new insoles, at the end of a 9 hour shift, my feet and ankles are sore as hell. I have worn Danners and Red Wings for years and never had sore feet at the end of my day. I thought I would give Georgia's a try for the price, pretty sure that won't happen again if this is what they consider craftsmanship for boots.

So I bought this boot in the spring in a 10 W it’s a very comfy boot but the only thing is the toe could be wider. My toes kinda get smooshed in there. After a while of wearing I get used to it but at the end of a long 14 hr day I cannot wait to get them off and only because there is not much wiggle room. I usually wear a EE in boots but that is not offered in these.

Great boots but were too big at the top of the boots measuring 11.5" around. My other boots average 10"s around the top.

I have been wearing the Georgia boot for a long time now. This recent boot has been the most difficult to get broke in. The tongue bunches up and digs into my ankle bones !

Design issues

It took 3 1/2 weeks to get the boots. This was at Christmas time so I kinda get that. After I called Rocky, they were shipped the next day. They seem to be well made and I was pleased to see that they are made in the Dominican Republic not China. The design is a bit off. Notice in the pictures, the back of the boot is straight. This is not how the human foot is made. My Red Wings and Danners are made with a curve designed for the heel, so they lace up and fit more comfortably to begin with. Additionally the Georgias tongue is thick and does not fold well so I have a wad of leather and lining bunched up and pressing on those tender areas of the ankle. Hopefully they will soften up after soaked with oil and break in. I am 300 lbs and spend 14 hours on my feet. These are not comfortable out of the box. As usual, you get what you pay for.

I bought a second pair because I love these boots so much. A store wanted to sell me a different boot and give me two free pairs and I said no, not if you do not carry this boot. Working at a water plant and waste water plant and flushing hydrants, in pits with water and pipes and this boots have held up and are still waterproof and in amazingly good shape after a year! My feet have not had even a wet minute not to mention day. My old boots were the "A" brand and even working on the farm in the dew that brands "water proof boots" My socks and feet would get soaked in no time. NOT THE CASE WITH THESE, a year later and still holding up extremely well!

I love these boots. Two weeks in and they are by far the most comfortable boots I’ve worn. I’ve spent more than $500 on two other brands boots this year. Those destroyed my feet. I’m on my feet for 10-16hrs daily. I’ll be a Georgia Boot buyer from here on out. Great boots.

I bought these boots after some that I bought from Cabelas. That boot was an awesome boot but unfortunately after wearing them to work for a day they did not seem to want to fit my foot like they did in the store. Because they got mutilated in one day at work they would not take them back. Got these boots and I’ve only had them one month but so far I love them

I purchased this exact same boot about four years ago.Same boot except it was the two inches shorter version.I decided on the higher version for more ankle support.Super sturdy boot and have been amazed at how long the soles have held up.Still wearing my old pair and haven't felt they've lost any support. They feel pretty good right out of the box but once broken in completely they fit like a glove. My feet are very particular about the footwear I put on them and these work for me!
