Compared to traditional leather, it is roughly 3 times as strong and resists abrasions 2.5 times as well. This means you have better protection against barnyard and pasture chemicals in the Georgia Boot® Barracuda Gold Wedge Work Boot.Durability and performance continues with the "Poly Wedge ULTRA" outsole. This sole resists oils, chemicals and abrasions. It's non-marking and still offers flexibility and cushioning for all-day wear.Goodyear® welt construction enhances the strength and flexibility of this men's boot.     Iowa farmer all my life. Have bought Georgia boots for last 40 years . These are by far the best style for long days of all kinds of work conditions, wet , dry, hot and cold. I have worn out at least 35 pairs since getting the first pair. Have tried other brands/styles and came back to this boot style. Will continue these getting boots for as long as they make them !!!

    Great boot that I've gotten two season's out of in the asphalt industry. Only problem is the tongue on one of the boots ALWAYS sits sideways. No matter what I do I cannot fix this and I think it was an issue with the stitching.

    Overall a decent boot. The leather is very nice and supple. And a solid feeling boot. However, the insole is sewn into the boot and its not a good insole. These are work boots. I stand all day. I should be able to change out the insoles to fit my needs. If i had known before purchasing that i couldnt change the insole out at all then i wouldnt have bought these. One other complaint i have is that the little bit of traction grooves cut into the sole are super shallow. If it werent for those two issues, this would be a 5 star boot all the way and probably the only boot i would buy.

    Love these boots. I've owned all the boots. I'm a boot glutton haha and these are top notch. The most comfortable period. And theyre really good looking too. I like the embossed logo on the ankle. It's sharp. The black and red pull tabs are a very tough detail too. 10 stars!

    I've been buying Georgia Boots for the better part of 15 years. Never have I ever had a pair of boots fall apart so quickly on me. I haven't had these for even 6 months and the soles are already coming unstitches at the toes. I take such good care of my boots too, I've never had this issue with you guys. Such a bummer.

    I bought this pair of boots after lengthy and expensive search for boots that would ease Plantar Fasciitis. After three attempts failed, I gave these a try and they were the most comfortable well fitting of the bunch. Working on concrete floors and running around pallets stretch wrapping loads like a circus monkey act. I thought I was gonna half to move on to another less foot pounding job. These boots cut down the pain by more than half and allowed me to keep up the pace. They didn't even need a break in period. I'm gonna get the soles replaced and wear 'em another ten years. Can't go wrong with these Babies.
