These boots are the heaviest boots I have worn that are AR-670-1 compliant. Despite that, they feel comfortable on my feet and the composite toe is much warmer in the cold than a steel toe boot. They are a bit pricey as well, but if these wear like their S2V non safety boot, they will last for about 3 years with insert changes regularly. These are great for shop wear, but I wouldn't recommend them for a long ruck.

I recently purchased my first pair of Rocky's S2V Composite toe boots and I couldn't be happier. They felt comfortable from the very first time I laced them up. Got caught in a downpour for several hours and they kept my feet dry as a bone. The ankle and arch support is outstanding. The may be my first but they won't be my last!!

I needed something with a bigger toe box and a safety toe. After trying nearly a dozen other brands and styles I tried these on. They were comfortable out of the box, and never needed a break in period. I've worn them every day for a month now, and I have nothing negative to say. They seem to hold up well, and believe me, I put them through the test. I am walking through construction sites, forest brush, Climbing communication towers and that sort of abuse every week, and some weeks every day. I expect I'll be buying another pair soon. Thanks for making such an awesome work boot here in America.

Navy service member that loves these boots. They fit good and the composite toe is great as well because it doesn’t dissipate heat from my toes in colder environments. These boots are airy and stay dry. They wide sizing fits perfectly as well. I would definitely recommend these boots!

The right boot was irregular with a minor sewing defect and some other noticeable irregularities. This may be due to the various discounts that were applied at checkout. The left boot was perfect in every detail. I have a 10.5 W that requires thick Smartwool socks and a sock liner to fill the voids. Very comfortable boot with the exception of the irregular right boot that when closed tightly had the Nato loops touching.

If you're going to make a wide version of your boot, you have to make the composite toe cap bigger also. I could not get my toes in the boot comfortably. I had to return them, I never had them on my feet long enough to lace them up. These seen like really nice boots, and I would like to keep them.

Love the looks. I wear these boots every day working in a manufacturing environment. I needed a safety toe boot that wasn't insulated and waterproof...surprisingly difficult to find. My first pair was awesome. They were very comfortable and lasted a year and a half of abuse. The second pair not so awesome. I think Rocky changed the insoles because they didn't have near the cushion that the first pair did; this pair didn't hold up to wearing either developing a hole on the side in less than a year of use. This is my 3rd pair and will determine if there will be a fourth. These are somewhere in between on the soles...not as comfortable as the first pair but better than the second. There quality and durability will be the determining factor

I ordered theses boots and so far I really like them composite toe so much better then the steel toe. Soles are a little stiff for my liking but I'm sure they will break in. They are a little pricey but hope to get alot of life outta them but time will tell. I have never had good luck with rocky boots I have always destroyed them in less then 6 months hopefully get more than that outta these as they were highly recommended

Sole not fully glued around safety toe

I wore these boots for a day and noticed the top lip of the sole is not fully glued and sealed from the beginning of the right foot's stitching to the middle of the front toe. The sole is not falling off, but for the price that these boots cost, I expected the sole to be fully glued all around with no missed areas or gaps. The top lip of the sole can be seen separating from the leather in the unglued areas. The boots themselves are comfortable and seem to use quality materials, but the construction does not seem up to par with brands like LOWA and Danner.

Comfortable Great Boot...but...

I'm not in the military any more. I work in aviation and am required to have steel toe/composite toe boots for work. Modern combat boots are far more comfortable than once was the case (looking at you 70s/80s era combat boots). I've found they're far more comfortable than most "work boots". Rocky's are some of the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. That being said. within 2 weeks my left boot developed a tear on the outside near the bottom of the lacing. As an old jarhead, I've always had at least 3 pairs of work boots so as to not abuse them...this boot only lasted 8 months before the tear was so long as to make the boots unusable. I'm of 2 minds...they are VERY comfortable, no break in period needed, but their durability is short for the price.

I have been getting these same boots for years. They have been absolutely amazing, I never wanted another pair but these. But my last pair I had got were very poorly made. The color was off. The laces felt like piano wire. I was extremely disappointed and it makes me very leary to get another pair. If they went back to the way the were they would be a 5 star all day but not with this quality unfortunately.

I wore these most of my military career, I was in the Army Infantry for 8 years and these boots really got put to the test, they are comfortable enough for long ruck marches, also thin enough the dry quick if the get wet. All around awesome boots!!!

Only 2 months of daily usage, but so far they are very comfortable and show no signs of wear. The speed lacing system is a great feature, and the widely spaced tread releases dirt & mud easily. I typically wear a size 9.5, so that’s what I ordered & they are true to size.
