Q: Has this been tested for lead and cadmium levels?
A: I reached out to someone at the company and was told, yes they have tested for lead and cadmium levels.

submitted byCandylady - 8 months agoA: Our merci Assorted Milk and Creamy Chocolates Variety 7oz does not expose consumers to unsafe levels of lead or cadmium. We certify each year we are in compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s 21 CFR Part 117 good manufacturing practice (GMP) and preventive Controls for human foods (FIACCP) requirements relative to all of the chocolate products (and other foods) that we manufacture, import and distribute for sale in the United States and we have complied with all applicable requirements under California’s Proposition 65 regarding alleged exposure to lead and/or cadmium in our chocolate products.

Q: What is the EXPIRATION DATE for boxes purchased at the end of OCTOBER 2023?
A: Candy boxes should be good for a year after purchase.

A: PRIOR RESPONE SAYS CANDY SHOULD BE GOOD FOR ONE YEAR BUT THAT DATE IS NOT FROM PURCHASE DATE BUT FROM MANUFACTURED DATE! IMPORTANT TO CHECK BEST BY DATE FOUND ON THE BOX!

Q: WHAT WILL. E THE EXPIRATION DATE/BEST BY DATE ON MERCI BOXES ORDERED IN FEBRUARY 2024. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND WITH "CHOCOLATE" is good for 1 year - need date on box as I was sent EXPIRED candy in the past
A: Expiration/best buy date is on the back of pack at the bottom. Prodcution dates vary for each batch of prodcuts and so will the best by date. Prodcuts will be good for at least 6 months from purchase.

Q: Is the chocolate fresh enough after sitting out and or being shipped?
A: In my experience, yes! I send my mom Merci chocolates every year around this time...and she take the rectangle pieces out of the box and puts them on display and slowly eats through them and says she loves them!!
