This is a mini letter sorter. Each slot holds about ten pieces of flat mail. The letters can be alternated vertically and horizontally. The sorter is not the length of a standard letter. The metal frame keeps the sorter in good shape and easier to stand. It does have a mesh look. I recommend this for anyone who is needing extra help organizing for a great price. This silver mesh metal letter sorter is true to size. It is so lightweight. The sorter can definitely pack quite a few letters inside of it. This would be perfect to have placed on an at home office desk, or by the front door to keep organized when letters are brought inside. The metallic color should be able to blend into most decor styles. However, if you really like it but not the color then, I think it could be spray painted. Mail in our house tends to get lost. So this mail sorter should help us be a bit more organized. The silver finish is nice. It matches most any decor. The mesh design is modern. It is not heavy so it can be moved easily. There are 3 compartments the seem to be about an inch to 2 inches deep. They are staggered heights to make looking through mail easier.
