Bought in February of 24 and failed not even 2 months later. Not only is that a terribly short life for the tool but after registering the tool etc I went to make the claim on the tool only to find that on MHPT service center site. This isn’t even one of the tools you can select for a repair it’s not even on the list nowhere to be found. To my knowledge neither is the 6” multi volt grinder. The absolute only compressor related anything they had was a 10 gallon reserve tank

I have had this compressor for about 6 months. It sees light duty every other week airing up low tires and such. I am always impressed that the system holds air in the tank through out these periods with near zero air loss. I have only put through heavy use to help a neighbor repair a wood fence. Although the use of this compressor for long term powering a framing nailer is likely beyond the scope of the device, it performed well. The only consequence was that I went through a couple of or the large MV batteries in a couple of hours. Again, the was entirely expected given the volume of air used in this activity. I would buy this compressor again in an instant if it ever becomes necessary. 5 stars.

Purchase this compressor over six moths ago and I am very satisfied with its performance it is light weight, compact and powerful very convenient for small jobs, we take it with us when going 4 wheeling (off-road) and camping to fill our the tires on our 4x4 truck One thing that needs improvement is the batteries, not happy with the batteries they don't hold the charge for very long and have to charge them very often for this reason we purchase the Metabo HPT ET36AM 36 V MultiVolt AC/DC Adapter great item when you need to use the compressor for a longer time period The controls are place in a convenient manner the only item I had to replace after 4 months was the quick release chuck it became very hard to use it may have been defective Other than the batteries I am very happy with this compressor

this little 36v compressor works great for jobs/projects that dont have a power source readily available. Ive used it for siding, trim and metal fastener guns. Dont expect battery life to last all day. Its a compressor and draws a lot of power.

I bought this for light framing projects but was hesitant about it's ability. If you were like me and wondering if you could count on it to keep up with framing remods, let me reassure you. I've framed additions, remodels, and put on arch shingles on the same. Used 3", ringshank, and roofing nails. This compressor and the 36v battery system is just amazing. It keeps up with this one man operation with a compressor that is both powerful and quiet. You won't regret it.
Super convenient!

I picked this up a while back to make my pneumatic nailers easier to use with the need to roll out a 100' hose. It works great for nail guns and for airing up the occasional tire. It's perfect to use with the corded adapter because it will really go through your batteries if you use it a lot. The biggest drawback is you have to make sure your air connections don't leak and/or you shut it off when you aren't using it or you will come back to a dead battery. Ask me how I know. ;-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a handy compressor for small jobs & punch out work. It's fairly compact, is a manageable weight, & is well balanced for easy carrying. It's kept up with every trim gun I run, from 23g to 15g, though it definitely cycles more with the larger guns (no surprise). While it's not nearly as loud as some oilless compressors out there, I do wish it was a bit more quiet. Still, it's a nice tool, & the optional adapter gives you the flexibility to plug it in when AC power is available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this compressor for its portability, and because it is part of HPT's MultiVolt lineup. It performs very well for any light to moderated duty tasks that I have, and is far more convenient than running long hose runs to reach remote work. It's not as capable as a larger compressor, but its ease of use and portability makes it a great addition to my garage.

Ok this is one of the best tools that I have. I use it almost every day. I have a huge compressor but this thing is amazing. Wether you’re using a brad nailer or framing nailer wether you’re blowing dust or dirt off this device is the real deal. We go to a keep fest every year and do some off roading where you have to air down. At the end of the day it blows my huge tires back up like nothing. I couldn’t see my self not going anywhere without having it with me.

Excellent lightweight cordless air compressor

I am very impressed with this cordless compressor. It is much lighter than my previous corded oiled compressor that had the same size tank as this. It pumps up about the same speed as that one too which is impressive for something that runs on batteries. I got this with the intention of keeping this in the back of my work truck instead of my corded one. I don't always use a compressor at work, I do however use one for trim jobs when we do those. But I also use it to air up the tires on the pickup truck and trailer. I got a 10' coil hose that slips in right under the top handle. Now I can literally carry the compressor to wherever I'm using it, tires, etc. and use the short coil hose. No more dragging cords or long hoses around! I find it's much more convenient to quickly top off my tires or blow something off now that I don't have to get all that stuff out to use the compressor. I have some concerns about the longevity of the compressor since this is my first oilless model, but I realize that most portable compressors are that way now so it's not a knock against Metabo Hpt, just something I don't like in general. I do think this will stay a lot cleaner though, the oiled ones tend to accumulate a film of oil and grime on them after a while. The only other complaint is about battery life. I think in warmer weather it's probably not as big of an issue, but I find that cold batteries ( freezing Temps) do not last more than a few minutes of continuous pumping on this before they cut out. Using the 4/8 ah batteries so they're the biggest ones available. Fortunately I have a ton of batteries so I can just swap them out. When I warm the batteries and compressor up in my shop beforehand I have no complaints about battery life at all. It is after all a high draw motor pumping air up to 135psi. All in all this is just about everything I hoped it would be and I'm very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this compressor for about a year now. I really enjoy the portability. I am a professional trim carpenter. Most of the time I prefer using pneumatic air nailers. I do have Cordless also and use in certain situations. Being that I use pneumatic often, the convenience of a Cordless compressor is great. I can walk into a job and very easily set up and get to work. Not concerning with electric. The run time is good on the 4AH battery. And small enough to easily carry around. Now with this tool I can have yet another option. I could use electric compressor, this battery operated compressor, or Cordless Nailer. Could even plug this into the wall using the converter. I use this compressor often

This compressor is perfect for a nail gun, airing up tires, light duty stuff. This is not going to keep up with an impact or other air tool that requires a lot of CFM, but I have a big compressor for that. This is a nice, compact, pretty quiet, lightweight compressor that is great for trim work and other stuff you would normally use a little pancake compressor for. The big 36 V battery lasts a while too. They also offer an adapter that you can plug in to the wall, which is nice if you have an all day job and not enough batteries. I have a ton of other Hitachi/Metabo HPT tools, so I already have the batteries and chargers for the Multivolt 18/36 system. My experience with those tools led me to try this compressor, and I am not disappointed.
