Q: I noted a warning alert on specifications section advising that this product has DHEP! How serious is this contaminant?

A: Thanks for reaching out, DEHP is chemical substance that is harmful and may cause cancer or birth defects. exposure to DEHP occurs from hand to mouth to swallowing, and dust. Clean the wall decor regularly by wiping it with dry cloth to collect the dust, and wash hands after cleaning to avoid exposure from DEHP. The warning does not mean our products will necessarily cause cancer or other harm. Moreover, a Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. The California government has clarified that “the fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.” The government has also explained, “You could think of Proposition 65 more as a ‘right to know’ law than a pure product safety law".
